  1. admittedly, this doesn't answer any question that the OP has asked.. but I just think its important that everyone knows exactly how much 59oz is. side note: the J frame is loaded...
  2. we are going to use them at our sectional match. Its at the end of the month, we don't know if its going to rain or not. But if it does come a monsoon, no worries.
  3. We used them last month at a local, in the rain.. they are freaking awesome!!!!! zero issues, the pasters work just as they should.
  4. I compete with a p320 X5 in Carry optics and I’m currently building a 2011 for open. I swap between 2 carry guns depending on my attire, M&P shield and a Glock 19. I try to shoot my carry guns pretty often, but not near as much as I would like.
  5. I agree with this^^^ but with that being said, I found that my local builder ( who puts out nothing but real quality products ) was willing to assemble the parts I brought him for a fraction of the cost of the big name builders. Also, if I were to have a issue with the gun he is 20 mins from my house and I wouldn't have to go without it for weeks on end or deal with shipping it to a FFL. just something to think on.
  6. like bulldog said, tons of great company's producing quality lowers right now. palmetto state, FM, JP, QC10 just to name few. you can pick up a complete lower from palmetto state for a really fair price.
  7. Ive found that SNS 125's shoot the best out of my X5.
  8. Hands down, no question... use a designated lower. Tons of issue with the adaptor type mags/ spacers.
  9. If the RO had given the make ready command I see no issue here...
  10. that's good stuff right there. without being there its impossible to tell what really happened. but I seriously doubt that a twig fired the gun.
  11. I've found that SOMETIMES a drop step is the best way to get going from these start positions. simply take your dominate foot and step back a half step then push off.
  12. Baby steps, it’s the most effective way to slow down/ stop. You may feel like you look stupid at first, and until it becomes subconscious, you probably will. But who cares. Watch some videos of KC or JJ. Both of them have extremely efficient footwork.
  13. I think this is their general line...909-594-2888
  14. https://techwellusa.com/accessories/gun-covers/techwearusa-gun-cover.html pretty sure this will take care of you.
  15. I ran a 3MOA for along time, last year I jumped up to a 6. I didn't notice a huge difference in dot accusation or accuracy. just a little more to look at.
  16. I think I've seen a 16 MOA diode for a Cmore, but I could be wrong.
  17. It seems to me that the majority of dot company's have a really solid warranty program.
  18. Did it fail? or did you just not like it?
  19. I've really wanted to play with a cool fire trainer! I need to get my hands on one.
  20. Here is my worn out junk. p320 x5 GG trigger Springer guiderod, Springer mounting plate. 6 moa vortex venom. This is my main CO gun. This little guy has about 30,000 flawless rounds on it! I also have an identical twin to this gun minus the silicone carbide. It’s strictly my backup gun.
  21. I've only heard good things about Venom Customs.
  22. most will disagree with me, but that's ok.... I have had absolutely zero issues with my vortex venoms. The oldest one I have has more than 30 thousand rounds on it mounted to a Glock 17. the case/frame on it is all jacked up from brass hitting it. I have another one on my main X-five with about 20 thousand rounds on it, again zero issues. the 3rd is on my backup X-five, its got less than 200 rounds and I'm not expecting any issues.
  23. a very similar question was brought up while I was taking the steel challenge endorsement class. If I remember correctly, our instructor stated that if a competitor asked to hear the cadence, it was ok to give it to them. most RO's have a pretty predicable cadence that usually don't change.... I know I do. IDK why a RO would change his/her cadence for every shooter. I'm pretty sure this would be a hard no.
