  1. I’ve read of your problems and you’ve worked through must of your issues. I was going to suggest polishing internal powder drop parts (which you’ve done), look for damaged parts (again done), but I have two suggestions. I shake my powder prior to putting it into my hopper to break up any clumps that might be in there and I clean the moving parts when I see things get “glitchy”. I also use return springs on my powder drop which I believe help with the metering. Isn’t it fun working through our issues?
  2. I’m coming to the end of my “return” window. I didn’t expect a response over the weekend but I do now. Frustrating.
  3. Has anyone heard from rollsizer.com or Kevin? I’ve sent 3 emails over the last 4 days and no response.
  4. The second post of this thread talked about “Norma” brass. I never thought I would come across it as Norma brass is expensive. I loaded 100 rounds yesterday and I got 8 pieces of Norma brass. Flash hole is way to small to get a pin in there. Maybe Norma got a new “Covid” supplier?
  5. I’ve been thinking of changing my motor out to a 250watt with a 1:3 or 1:5 reducer, so I can have a bit more speed in the output. My understanding is that the torque needs to be closer to 7nm.
  6. It’s disheartening to see others with the exact problem as mine. Maybe there has a batch that wasn’t hardened correctly. Time will tell. I’m frustrated that I can’t continue to process my brass. Oh well, patience grasshopper .
  7. Looks like a DC motor. Can you share the specs and performance?
  8. I received my DAA plate yesterday and got a chance to try it out. With the Dillon small pistol plate and the variable speed casefeeder I could put 100 cases into the hopper and it wouldn’t bog down. Now with the DAA plate I can put 500 cases into the hopper. I was thinking of doing the bypass mod on the power supply but it doesn’t look like I’ll need to do that now. I ran about 4000 9mm cases through the casefeeder with the new plate.
  9. I bought my unit direct from rollsizer.com. I’ve emailed them but I don’t expect a reply till Monday.
  10. Here is my update: I’ve run about 15k pieces of 9mm brass and the two wear pieces look like this: the two pictures of brass are 3 piece unfired and the 2 piece is fired.
  11. This is what I did to my press. This wasn’t my idea just following up on what I did.
  12. Mine looks just like that and it’s less than a week old. Steel cases are caught in the casefeeder drop tube so this shouldn’t be a factor.
  13. Thanks Markimm, I’ve been wanting to order the upgrade also but figured they were having supply issues like almost everyone else in the world. Just have to be patient. That’s hard.
  14. Been running my modded manual rollsizer all day. I bought the 120 watt unit with a 1/10 reducer on it. The motor states that it will run at 135 rpm reduced but I the best I could get is 27 cases per minute. The manual sets that if the feeding tube runs out that cases might go in at odd angles but I haven’t seen this happen in my test. The motor doesn’t sound different when the case first goes through the rollsizer. Here is my setup:
  15. I’ve started to have a problem that I haven’t heard being discussed on the forums. I’ve been sizing using a “u” die and have been getting some “smearing” of brass at the bottom of the case. I’ve looked to see if the die is causing this and I’ve rotated the die and it has continued so I don’t think it’s the die. I’ve been getting about .8% of my loaded rounds have this smearing. I’ve purchased a rollsizer from the .com company. This has removed the smearing of my completed rounds so I can use them. So now my processing regimen includes the rollsizer step and when I use my armanov guage I get maybe 1 round that doesn’t fit out of 1000 rounds. Better result but again another step. Still has anybody seen their brass “smeared”?
  16. Talked to them today. Their waiting on a electronic connector of some sorts and get this…….. packing foam. I offered to take one home without the foam . They get the foam from Tucson and actually had to send one of their own drivers down there to pick up product because the vendor didn’t have a driver for the delivery. We live in mad times, MAD, I say.
  17. It comes down to the large/small frame issues. My understanding was that EAA stopped importing small frame pistols in about ‘95. So most modern Tanfos are the large frame and the secondary part manufacturers have made parts for the large frame. You might be able to find someone that has a mag well for a small frame. I seem to remember someone talking about welding a mag well on their small frame pistol. You might drop Apollo a PM as he has some experience in shooting a small frame open pistol. I looked at the pistol that you bought.
  18. Another item is the stock master and limited master come with 2 mags. Another thing to consider is the fact that IFG has been importing both small and large frame pistols. The small frame pistols use CZ mags where the large frame ones cannot. On my large frame Tanfos I can swap out the slides. I have 6” Match upper, 4.75” limited and 4.5” stock2 uppers and swap them out depending on which division I’m shooting.
  19. This is the site that I use. They keep updating it also. https://optics-info.com/footprints-on-red-dot-sights/
  20. Dillon is great to deal with. They’ve dealt with everything. Can you imagine the stories of customer service?
  21. I received Dillons Blue Press today in the mail and they talk about the automation. Several pictures with Lana Miculek and the parts/pieces. Works with the CP2000 and RL1100 no joy for us 1050 owners.
  22. Another thing to consider is to replace the trigger roll pin with a CGW trigger pin. Makes it so much easier to remove and replace your trigger pin. I bought mine from Patriot Defense. CGW | Phantom Floating Trigger Pin (75920)
  23. Ace hardware will be your friend. I know. Been there, plus you can try it before you buy it
