  1. Using the CGW firing pin spring on the CGW long firing pin and on the stock firing pin dragged the primer on my S2 (and had a secondary mark on the primer) (this with the CGW light hammer spring) I use the stock pin and spring with factory Magtech, S&B and STV ammo and have no problems (but I shoot from SA mostly)
  2. English is not my first language. Would somebody explain to me what "prepping the trigger" means. Thanks!!

    Shadow2 magazines??

    Strange. My s2 came with 3 19 round mags (17+2) https://www.czub.cz/en/cz-shadow-2.html
  4. Mrvip27; Thats exactly the reason why I dont use an idiotic light trigger any more but go for trigger break and reset quality.
  5. I tried to lighten it some on my 75B by bending one of the leggs of the magazine catch spring inward a little and then it started dropping the mags while shooting. They didnt fall out, just dropped about a 1/4 inch. I would advice against it but maybe others have a better solution.
  6. All springs. They may need replacement, get bent or lost (especially the small ones) All pins, slide stop, extractor, diring pin, all roll pins. CZ spare parts are cheap and easy to get where I live

    CZ Tuning

Until now I do all my work myself. (polishing, trigger work, exchanging or installing parts, springs, fine tuning, etc.) I dont know if you could call it gunsmithing What I did was buy me a rather cheap CZ75. There is hardly any difference between a 75 and a S2, even a lot of parts are interchangable. I learned a lot, made some mistakes and corrected them. It was very satisfying to see that with my S2 I was able to work on it without asking myself the question if it shoot after I was done. I got to add that I dont have the luxury to send a gun to GCW or CZ custom and gunsmithts are far between in the Netherlands.
  8. Was that in DA or in SA?
  9. Would you eleborate on the slipping and Doubling?
  10. I added skate tape. This is a SA trigger but I'm sure it works on any trigger
  11. It's a CGW extended pin and spring. I tried stock pin with CGW spring and same issue. I never encounterd any light strikes with stock pin and spring with 11 lbs hammer spring. (but fire gun from SA only) I asked CGW this question several times but they dont respond. To me it seems the spring is on the light side. I have 2 questions. 1) does anybody see primer drag and secondary strike? 2) does anybody have problems with the stock pin and spring wit 11 lbs hammer in DA??
  12. I'm wondering if anybody (who uses a lenghted firing pin and light spring in a shadow 2) ever looked at there primers after shooting it and see the pin drag the primer and a tiny second indent on the primers edge. Any thoughts about that??

    shadow 2 rear sight

And clamp it in a well mounted vice. Your hand or a not well mounted vice aborb the impact.
  14. I cant judge what your gunsmith did but I think that if you would have send your gun to GCW you would have had to pay about the same amount. I just wanted to give some tips on how to solve your problem with the trigger. Staying mad at somebody who didnt do what you expected doesnt solve the problem.
  15. When I first got my S2 I was really disappointed in the SA pull. There was so much creep in the sa pull that, during shooting, I thought the gun was not cocked. (I'm only using it for target shooting and was used to light and glass breaking triggers) Within a week I ordered a CGW sear and hammer (and disco) and the SA problem was solved for 95% You cant blame a gun smith for parts he didnt change if the parts where not to your liking in the first place. Personally I feel that a trigger job has most effect on the DA pull and not so much on SA. Changing those parts is not to difficult but if you are not used to taking apart your gun to the last part I would advice against doing it yourself and get help from a friend who OWNS a CZ. I would also advice to get a new hammer strut so you can leave your original hammer, strut and disco intact. It's only a few dollars. The only extra tools you need are a plat nose 2 mm punch and I used a small vice to push the disco and hammer pins in. That is apart from the regular tools, tweezers, and a steel dental pick to get to the springs (sear and safety spring) Watch you tube videos with the gun on your lap several times until you understand what the are doing and what they mean. It is fulfilling!
