  1. Tactical Solutions had their new AR 22LR Upper at the SHOT Show! I looked pretty nice and think they are starting to ship. There not on their web sight yet, you might have to give them a call (866)333-9901 John
  2. Great Match as always! The RO's and staff were great! Prize table was great except for the Tac-Iron table. I used to always want them to split up Tac-scope and Iron But, that did not seem to work out. In the match booklet it showed POF as the Tac-Iron Davision sponsor but, all the POF stuff was on the Open and Tac-scope tables? May be next year they will go back the way it has been done in the past. John
  3. HI John Bagakis here, I am looking for someone to split a room with at the US Steel Nationals (March 12th-16th). I will be flying in on Wednesday and leaving on Sun. night Thanks John
  4. +1 They put on a great match! I had a great time! That was the first time I have ever shot and indoor match! Great stages even for an outdoor match! John
  5. This is true if you don't miss. Revolver shooters don't miss, right? I know I do! That is why I bought a 7 shooter! The 686+ is cheaper than the 8 shot guns but you have to get it cut for moonclips which does add to the cost. I haven't been shooting ICORE for long but when I finish a stage I usually pick up a bunch of clips with one bullet left in them. -ld I shoot my 8 Shot in L-10 minor and do well with it. Plus you can leave your moons out in front of your belt. Having two extra shots in Icore is very nice. I would buy an 8 Shot. Thanks John
  6. It is a 625 with a Ti cylinder and it has a 25-2 barrel. I had Randy Lee do the work. Thanks John
  7. Very funny Mike!!! I shot better than at the Nationals, 90% of Jerry this time. John
  8. I met Bud at the 2000 Steel Challenge and liked him from then on. He was a great friend and a great shooter! He will be missed! I told Jason Pettitt about Bud's Passing, He also want to send his condoleances as well! John Bagakis
  9. I talked to Steve at Bear Creek today. He is still there, I think the web site is down for up dates. I know he has had a hard time keeping up with orders. The shop phone number is 209-874-4322 Thanks John
  10. Still looking for a somebody to split with!!
  11. The Standards have been part or the IRC since I started shooting in 2000. I think the Standards should be part of the IRC until someone zeros it. I have had the Standards make and break my matches. As far as practicing for the Standards, you can practice the 25, 10, and 3 yard parts at any range. The main change I would like to see is dropping the over-time penalty from 10 sec. to 5 like the rest of penalties in the match. This will help all the shooters! John
  12. I have a room at the Match hotel to split! Thanks John
  13. I think DANBAGGER made GM with his classifer last week!!!!!! John
  14. My Plane gets in at 5:40pm, So I should get there around 8:00. See you guys then. John
  15. Dan Carden and I shot it last year, Jerry and Nils were there as well. I think there were about 8 Revolvers there. I had agood time. They always have great stages!! I will send in a entry and see if I get in. It would be nice to have 10 plus Revolvers. John
  16. I shoot my 627 (minor) in L10 most of the time, I do pretty well with it. Come to think of it I have yet to shoot an Auto in L10. John
  17. (DO NOT) bob the hammer, I did on mine and it would only fire about 5 out of 10 rounds. I guess the rimfire ammo needs the extra weight on the hammer to run. Other than that the normal action work, You just can't back off the main spring much. John
  18. Have you been shooting major or minor in lim-10? Minor in L-10 John
  19. That's great I have been shooting my 8-shot in L-10 for some time now and doing pretty good. I like the idea of shooting my Revolver in production. John
  20. Hi John Bagakis here, Dan Carden and I shot the Gator Classic. I was using Bear Creek 230gr Moly Bullets in my 625 at the Gator Classic. I also use them in my 627, The 158 RN Bear Creek bullet. For the .38 I have used 3.6gr of Bullseye with good luck, For me this has been a great load about 130PF. You can reach Steve Miller at Bear Creek bullets at (209)847-4322 His prices and shipping costs are very good. I have used his bullets for the last seven years and love them. I have not had any leading problems at all.
  21. I have seven on my belt but it is always good to have more. You might look at the Speedy Rack, It's what Jerry used at the Nationals except his has ten posts and the production one has seven. I think they are $110 shipped. With the Speedy Rack you have to use Herthco Moons. I have been using mine for about three matches now and it works great! John
  22. I think The Apex Tactical web site is down or getting up-dated. You can reach Randy Lee at the shop #(805)528-5250 I think Rob Leatham (TGO on the forum) was shooting 9mm in his 627-38super revolver at the IRC this year. I think there was a thread on this convertion, try a seach in the revolver section. Good Luck John
  23. John I called Patherfinder and Steve is out of the office for a couple of days. Which of the Bear Creek 230 grain bullets do you use? Pathfinder shows 230 gr FP and 230 gr RN. I think I would prefer the round nose. On Pathfinders web page is seems there is a "lube groove" on the RN. I asked the person at Pathfinder about the groove, but they did not know if it was a lube groove or the purpose of the groove. I will wait until later in the week to talk to Steve, but would like to know which bullets you use. Rod I use the 230 RN. I think they do have a lube groove but it is just how they are cast, The Bear Creek bullets don't have any lube in the groove. Good Luck John
  24. Welcome to the forum!! I started using bullseye then went to Clays. The Clays load had less felt recoil. I use 3.7gr Clays with a Bear Creek Moly coated 230 bullet in my 6.5" 625. About a 170 PF. You can get Bear Creek bullets from them direct (Steve is the owner, 209-874-4322) or at www.pathfindersports.com I like the Bear Creek Bullets they are very accurate, don't smoke as much as lead bullets and don't cost that much more than lead. Good Luck John
