Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. If you are interested in hunting whitetail (or any game animal in Texas) in 2013 with a silencer/ suppressor (and yes they are legal) we are doing an informational series on silencers. Please check them out. If you like them, subscribe to the channel, there will be about 15 more videos on the subject coming over the next two week. Check them out.
  2. Pretty good review of the SBR 762x39 Diablo. There is also a good review of the Sig 516 piston on the same youtube channel.
  3. Hope you do not shoot that at the RiflesOnly matches. If you do we might have to shoot our Glocks again. Good looking pistol. I need to shoot it to make sure it works. TJ does not care And don't worry pete, I put 300 rounds through it sunday and it will be the steel punisher... I now know why benny, ty, and merlin all have a 9mm.
  4. thumb does not touch I am planning on using for three gun, steel, sniper matches (when you shoot rifle and any handgun you want), and general practice, since it feels just like my 40sw fatfree.
  5. Well, just got my new 6" fatfree from Benny Hill. And DAMN its sweet. Its a 9mm 6inch hard chrome with a schuemann barrel The fit is flawless the trigger is flawless The finish is flawless i will shoot it tomorrow, and i am sure it will shoot flawless as well by the way, the bottom of the magazine is engraved with the punisher logo, when the black anodizing is removed, the aluminum underneath really stands out. (we have a jewelry store, and just got a new computerized engraving machine). Anyways, thanks Benny for this work of art.
  6. Looking to get a dedicated 22lr upper receiver for my AR, cause DAMN 223 has gone up. Does anyone own one that runs well? or can make a suggestion on one that will? thanks in advance for the suggestions..
  7. LOL!! If i did not know any better I would think that was setup! very smooth merlin
  8. +1 for both... 13 guns is no arsenal, by any stretch.. they mentioned no shotguns, supressors, class III SBRS, full autos, '50cal long range weapons of mass destruction' you must has atleast 3 of the 5 to be considered for the arsenal club...
  9. Well, one of the local gun shops was having an informational presentation on African safaris, by invitation. I was invited. If you showed up it was $50 and you got a chance at winning a safari. Only 30 people would be present. So I asked my dad, the luckiest person I have ever known, if he wanted to go, and he hoed and hummed about it, but said he would, I asked the gun shop owner if there were any spots left, and he said, yes only one. So my dad and I show up to the presentation, eat some food, and of course, my dad wins the drawing... why I asked him to go I have no clue... I knew he was going to win. So he won an all expense paid 7day guided hunt in South Africa, for a warthog, blesbuck, and impala... I am now in the process of selling my kidney to see if i can go with him and maybe carry his gun for him. This is like the 5th raffle that he has won.
  10. Custom vs stock is no question... Customs are DEFINITELY worth the time and money... the only reason you need a stock pistol, is if you need it now. Benny Hill is on this forum, and he is one of the Best in the Biz (the best IMO). He has already built me a 6inch fat free, an AR, a Benelli, and is currently working on a single stack for me... Do a search on a 6inch Fat Free and see what the other guys are saying... pretty much anyone who shoots a fat free, ends up buying a fatfree. my .02

    American Handgunner

99% of all mags are just cover to cover full page color advertising... Pretty pictures and weighted words, not much more... Front sight is in the other 1%
  12. yehaa! Merlin, you are a braver man than I...
  13. for what its worth, I think the Meopta is the best looking 'game' optic i have seen. I went to the shot show and hunted for a possible replacement. the only thing that came remotely close was the schmidt and bender (or as i like to call them, schmidt and bendover) short dot. It is a 1-4x with super optics and a little dot/ring reticle, but it is also THREE TIMES MORE expensive than the meopta and does nothing better.... The meopta is IMHO the best game optic on the market right now.... as testiment to the meopta, I shot the 'minute of madness' at the tiger valley match (thirty shots at three hundred yards on a funky silohette) and cleaned it with a howling 15-20 mile an hour cross wind at 4x (and I am not all that great of a shooter) as far as the reticle, remember you are shooting steel/cardboard not benchrest groups...
  14. I have been experimenting with grip pressure, and a very good shooter told me to startout by gripping the gun as hard as you possible can, then release the grip to the point where you holding the with just enough pressure so it does not fall from your hands. Then fire two rounds... they gun should almost come out of you hands, then gradually increase the pressure, until you find the point of dimenishing returns on how hard you grip the gun. I have tried it a few times now (starting at like 10% grip strength and working up). It is pretty interesting to see that up to a certain point, no matter how hard you grip, it does not track any better. This drill gave me a very good reference of how hard I need to grip (which is not that hard). Matt also had a good point, if there is a long difficult shot, I will normally loosen the grip up a little more then normally, to help increase my chance of hitting it.
