  1. It's too late. The original configuration was with A Wiegand mount and PDP3. Instead of having the original builder make the conversion and doing it right I gave to our local guy. So, the frame is already swiss cheese and there is even a crack in the dust cover now. KEEP IT SIMPLE (with a) SERENDIPITY JMHO FM
  2. Isn't there one close to Stewartsville or St. Joe? IIRC the last name was Hunter. FM
  3. I'm not naming names because the mount itself is fine. (Except I had to tap the holes over sized to get some decent torque.) (The redrilling and taping of the frame compromised the frame.) But why in the world would anyone want three more fastners to come loose? (Guess they look cool and the builder has another part (>$) to add to the bill.) It's like a Japanese MX bike in the 80's; they had brackets for the brackets! (Like expansion chamber brackets.) I'm just PO'd because I need a new frame to correct everything. FM
  4. How about the music for the movie "das boot"? I can't remember it but it was intense! Pharaoh Bender; thanks for reminding me about Cake! And no it's not a time of need! FM
  5. Very Kool! But if it doesn't sync with Outlook it is totally worthless to me. (As far as merging a phone and PDA) FM
  6. Nope. If I had used a Serendipity my C_MORE would sit a full .250" closer to the barrel. And I wouldn't have three more fasteners to come lose. (There is more to my story but to keep it short I need a new frame to correct everything. ) Stay with the Serendipity. FM
  7. So. What does everyone think of the new season? I have been a little disappointed with the "loose ends". (It may be because I need closed captioning because of my hearing however.) FM
  8. Did you like it over all compared to the 3n38 VV powder. A friend of mine told me that the vv 350 is violent and that is what i'm using now. I'm in the process of switching powder and have heard the IMR powder is a good one and cheaper too. N-350 is in between 3N37 and 3N38 IIRC. I have used N-350 for years now. It is the powder I always come back to after trying something else. It's not "violent" in my 5" barrel, 6 ports straight up comp top end. FM
  9. Grease Fittings? You mean yours didn't come with Zerk's? FM
  10. I have short thumbs too but my perception is the distance/travel to the mag release was increased with the button. It's a Caspian frame so it's a little different (long/narrow vs. short/wide). FM
  11. Drilled and tapped/no button. FM
  12. At the beginning of Black Hawk Down there is a quote from Plato that states; "Only the dead have seen the end of war." I have no desire to start a war; I don't know why everyone else has to be such a PIA. FM
  13. I strayed one time for some convenient retro work on my Competition Specialties Open gun. Never again; Rick is the only person that touches my blasters. FM
  14. He HAD to take care of business. You and I would have done the same thing Merlin. FM
  15. I'm going to try Precision Bullets in my SS after I run out of JHP's. If they "feel" like lead all the better IMHO. FM
  16. Precast concrete placed on top; or a steel plate underneath the poured forms? FM
  17. I'm jonesin' for the new T-60 wide screen (Lenovo/IBM) but it isn't for gaming. FM
  18. Yes, Time to get rid of it. Especially if it has over 100K miles on the odometer. My '96 Tahoe was $500+ per month in repairs after that milestone. Chevy's are my favorite domestic and I don't like to buy new but I think it is mandatory with a Chevy; trade them early to keep them in warranty. And keep them stock! FM
  19. Some damn lawyer probably told her to do it. Probably the one that rents office space from my broker! He real is a damned good lawyer however. FM
  20. NEXTEL rocks here! Don't know about Sprint; and I know they are merged. My NEXTEL dealer is awesome too, except they are a 30' drive away. And I know all of that could change with the stroke of a pen. (Equity companies are taking a hard look at Alltel right now,) FM
  21. And they have the extra good Winchester bullets in bulk. (9MM 115 gr JHP = 3660 count to a case.) FM
  22. My broker mandated using a disclosure at the bottom of a Signature. She isn't an Attorney however Mike! FM
  23. +1 to that. Amen, and your blaster will stay zeroed longer. (I over oil my open gun and the oil overcomes the Lock Tite.) FM
  24. I would stay with the Serendipity just because you will have three less fasteners to worry about becoming loose. That is the mount I wish I had chosen; now I have to buy a new frame (because of the damage inflicted upon by my installer) and have it finished out. FM
