Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Drill holes on the Battlerail ouch.. but thats an option that looks like i will have to follow. thank you everyone for the replies
  2. I'm getting one fritz, use to have one, but an old buddy of mine bought it i will give you the feedback once i get one. STill looking for one
  3. The extended version can make you place your scope more forward, some eyes like it, some eyes dont, i use the recon, but not the extended version I have both, ADM and Larue, can't go wrong with both. Pros and Cons on both is the tool less adjustment of ADM sometimes proves it to be too tight or a bit not tight. the Larue, you have to have its wrench, but you can 100% be just right on the tension for its mount.
  4. I recently decided to assemble my long cabinet queen Sabre Defense fluted 18" with middy gas, with a VTAC Extreme Battlerail 11" .. I got a call from my gunsmith buddy a couple of nights ago. He told me he cant turn the trx to lock or something.. nyone running this setup?? maybe some tips and tricks of some sort. I really want to use the Extreme Battlerail coz of its weight and using a Ace Buttstock, Fluted Barrel, lightened JP bolt, it will make my Open Div Rifle a very light unit As always, thanx a lot for the replies
  5. I tried it out yesterday.. went to the range. had 182 rounds of match ammo on my bag. just to practice 40-60 yards off hand shooting with a little prone position practice. i took the suggestion of the shooters here. tried the no pressure grip over the handguard. and to my surprise, 2 taps... went in like dog eyes(bigger snake eyes) hahahah. having your weak hand not fighting the recoil and just let it happen was far more effective. i was shooting a 25-35 yards paper. and i got 2 alphas or 1A n 1C. it was very enlightening. i find out that i should aim a bit higher coz of the 1+inch shooting low, i zeroed my unit to 50 yards, and the result was some went the charlie region coz i aim at the center. if i aim a bit higher, im confident that i'll get 2 alphas. Im really drilling myself for the rifle match this weekend. i plan to practice more 2 days before the match. First time i'll be using irons. i have trouble transitioning from 1 target to another, using a Lake compass tube for the my rear, thought it focuses my eye for long range stuff, but transitioning is difficult as hell. To all the iron guys out there, how do you do it.. do you get take your eyes of the rear sight .. then look at the next target then whip the rifle there?? in between targets is around 10 yards. This problem occurs on prone where mobility of rifle is limited.

  7. Hhmm... relaxed huh.. i gotta go to the range and try that out. hhmm.... i have 2 weeks to dry fire if all goes well on this "relaxed" grip stance. heheheh.
  8. Basically i have 2 loads now, 1 load is 77gr Sierra heads with VV N140 at 23.6 gr. and 2nd is 55gr Armscor head with VV N130 at 23.2 gr. what ammo should i tune the unit with?? i fear that if i loctite it now... and use the smaller load, it won't cycle properly for the other:( Question now s wat s the smaller load
  9. I have a JP handguard 12" on my rifle. ala Noveske Shooting Team hehehe, i tried some double tap at 15M, and there were some good "snake eyes" shots, but there were some not so good. what i want to know is how your weak hand is against the rifle?? i usually have it pushing my rifle to my shoulder, i tried holding a pump action shotgun, i accidntally knocked back open the shotgun... hehe. was just wondering how the real rifle shooters do it aheheheheh
  10. Thank you for the advices sirs. i will bring with me the rifle, and all the tools and try both stocks and see which "feels" better
  11. So loctite the crap out of it roger that sir
  12. Yeah.. i get that a looooootttt at our store. and when you do tell them to PLEASE pay it before eating it.. you get the "Are you saying i can't afford to pay for this???" WTF indeed.. i share your pain sir.
  13. I was adjusting the screw and tuning the 77gr Sierra to my Rifle. and i placed a masking tape on the screw just to be sure it did not turn when i tried double tapping and running around with the rifle. But when i took off the tape, and was about to loctite the screw, i saw on the tape that it had some black dirt, signs of gas coming out of the screw. I postponed the idea of loctiting the screw, coz if drop a loctite in it, it will sure as hell seal that leaking gas. is that how its suppose to be?? should i seal it up and just pray i didn't do the wrong thing??
  14. I bought the iron sight JP Front post Adjustable, the JP low Mass Bolt Carrier, and lastly, the JP low mass buffer. My unit has a 18" BCM Ionbond Rifle Length Barrel, and JP handguard My Buttstock, i found my PRS buttstock, even though a bit heavy, i installed it. i Love the way it feels, but the lack of adjustable feature and the weight is kind of a downer for me I really like to go back to my A5 Vltor EMod but the problem is my rifle wont be with the low mass rifle buffer to all those thats using the low mass system, what do you think?? Vltor A5?? or PRS with low mass buffer ??
  15. Reading this thread... opened my eyes to a lot of things ..
