  1. My 514 lot has been great and easier than i thought it was going to be to make power factor in my V10 tanfo. I'm at 10.3 grains on a 124 grain DGbullet with a over all length of 1.190. This is giving me a average of 174 power factor. I have all so gotten the same results out of a different lot number. My lowest power factor was a 173 and my highest is a 175. These numbers have been taken through a 30 round test through the crono.
  2. I used 8mm long and they fit my optic mount perfectly for depth when screwed in to the frame.
  3. Tanfo is a m4x.70 machine screw. You can pick them up at most hardware stores.
  4. I'm a bit stuck on my holosun 510c. After a lot of calling and digging boath Chris Tilly and JJ highly recommend it. Now I have one and haven't looked back. I love the bigger window plus the options. Auto off, solar, big buttons, and a side battery tray.
  5. If there are people interested in having a BIG @$$ magwell made, give Shay Akai a call, email, or message. I have been working with him for the last few days to see how many people we can get wanting them and if it's worth his time to make some up. I can say he has been honestly great to work with. I have heard rumors of about company or two wanting to make some magwells too. But after talking with them, I don't see anything coming out any time soon. This could be a once in a lifetime chance to get the biggest and nicest looking magwell for a tanfo you can finde.
  6. I get unbelievable accuracy with DG bullets in my tanfo open gun. I run the 125 grain 9mm. I am shooting major and with that being said I get no leading in my barrel or comp. I did pull some out of a snow bank not to long ago, and every one still had it's coating on full bullet. Minus where the lands contact the bullet. If you go to the web page and use code JE10 that'll save you 10 present on your full order.
  7. I have a Smith that's willing to make some big magwells for the tanfo. The kicker is, I have to have enough people that want them before he is willing to take the time to make them. PM me for more details and for who to call on this.
  8. I know when I tested some 124 JHP they were slower. When I switched to a DGbullet ( coated bullet) I bumped almost 5 power factor. All so I've noticed that the tanfo seems to have a faster barrel than some of my other guns. I don't know if it's tighter, or if it's because we reamed the chamber or what. I'm in the process of testing DG bullets new 125 grain CN.so far they are awesome.my RN load is at a 1.160 oal while the CN I can get out to 1.190 oal. Which this particular gun really seems to like. It will plunk test and to cycles through the gun 100%. May give them a try for a while?
  9. I've used auto pistol for awhile in my open Glock. It worked well for that gun, it had a small comp and small popple holes so it didn't need as much gas. Now my tanfo v10 with a moded comp, I'm useing 10.1 grains of major pistol and it works very well.
  10. Thank you for taking the time to make this chart.
  11. I have been shooting DG bullets for the last year or so, now in my open gun as well. With major pistol powder I don't get any leading. I'm loading a 124 with 9.5 grains of powder. I recently pulled a few out of the snow bank just to examine them. I was shocked to see thatwith major pistol powder, the coating on the back of the bullet is still intact. As of now if you use the code JE10 that'll save you 10 percent off any order from DG bullets. They have been very accurate in all my guns.
  12. I do calisthenics, no weights other than body weight. This keeps me strong, in great shape, and not to bulky. I emphasize in explosive movements such as jump squats, switching lunges, explosive pushups, explosive pull up, and muscle ups. The explosive movements help in all aspects of our sport. I all so do three days a week of cardio hit workouts. So work puts go like this. Monday, abs Tuesday, chest and triceps Wednesday, legs Thursday, back and biceps Friday, shoulders Saturday, full body Sunday, full body Cardio falls on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and done all in the evening. A good eating schedule always helps too. And for God sake don't forget your dryfire.
  13. What was your lot number? I just started a new jug. I'm at 9.4 grains with a 124 grain dg coated bullet at 1.150 overall length. I'm getting a very consistent power factor. I'm shooting this out of a open glock with a kkm 5.25 inch barrel and two 1/8th inch popple holes.
  14. Alice is going to slay Lima....... just saying lol. Hands down the best tanfo builder out there. I've run apolos guns before and will be running one for the upcoming season. It pays to have kick ass friends that are super talented. Keep killing it brother. Look forward to ripping it together agen this year.
  15. Thank you very much. I'm looking forward to shooting this one when I get it. That uses a TEvo 2011 optic mount. So I will be having one of their blast shiels coming as soon as they are back in stock. My comp is not threaded on the barrel. It is a slide on fit with a big set screw on the bottom and it's also pinned in place.
  16. The gun is all build by David Petta at DCPrecision LLC. The hump on the back of the grip is a polymer and epoxy mixture. While the full grip is stippled. The magwell is held by a big brass plug that goes in the back strap of the gun and retained by a bolt. I tried to post video but it's not letting me, it said it's to big.
  17. So your talking major power factor in a glock. My glock build is a bit different than the rest you will see on here. My gun runs 46oz. Around the same as a tanfo or cz open gun. Here are pics of the new one. It's not here yet but I'm sure itll shoot better than my older one. It has a better comp.
  18. I've been running major for quite some time now and I know many others that are using major in their open glock for thousands upon thousands of rounds with out issue. just out of curiosity why do you say it's only for steel guns? Fill me in please. for some more info as to me, auto comp gave me pressure spikes that I didn't like at all. Some primers were good others were way flat. Bumped up to HS6 and that ran good, AA7 ran better. Than I tried major pistol, it had the same charge as AA7 in my gun and felt the same but was cleaner. Shooters world claims that major and AA7 are almost identical in burn rate and load data. let's face it, we are running 9major which is basically a grenade waiting to go off in your hand no matter what gun or powder we run in them. thanks in advance.
  19. There are a lot of things you can do here to make your open glock better. Go check out DC precision LLC. Dave builds awsome open Glocks. As of now I'm running a G17 slide with a G34 barrel, four popple holes in the barrel, a three port Binary style comp. We are using a frame weight with a 2011 style optic mount. These guns run very flat for a open Glock due to the weight and popple holes. Is it a 2011 no, nor is it a tanfo, it's a open Glock its not going to be the same. As for springs I'm useing a 10 pound wolff recoil spring with a 4.5 pound striker spring. You can use these two springs to help tune your gun to you liking, just remember that your recoil spring has to over power the striker. One more thing you can try is a DPM recoil reducer ( I have not played with them yet but do plan to in the future). As for a load you should try a powder that gives more gas such as AA7 or Major Pistol powder. Both powders are very similar and give more gas to use than HS6. I'm at 10 grains of major pistol with a 124 grain DG bullet (coated bullet) at a over all length of 1.150. I have had not over pressure signs at all and this has been giving me a 175 power factor. PM me if you have any more questions.
  20. I'm at 9.4 grains of major pistol on a 124 grain DGbullet. My OVL is 1.150 with a cci small pistol primer. This is giveing me a 175 power factor out of my 5.25 inch barrel with two 3/16th popple holes and a smaller two port comp.
  21. I cant use a 2011 mount. My gun isn't a 2011 which is why I'm looking for just a blast shield like the tevo, which I would just get now but they are out of stock.
  22. I'm looking for a blast shield for my holosun 510c. I know of the Tevo blast shield, but at this time the are out of stock. Is there anyone else that makes them? I lm just looking for the shield, I do not want a mount.
