  1. Very nice and very well done. At 18 I was lugging around a Bren Gun in the Irish Reserves!
  2. I have a pair of Ruby Noyz's with my distance prescription in all but the a very small (close up) portion of the lenses which is between my reading and computer distance. My doc come out to the range and watched me shoot and set the focal point up just right. Even the close up portion is set up so I can look (really look down) through the (lower right) of my lenses and my holster is in focus. Picking up targets and my red dot is easy and crystal clear. The frame I had and my eye doc had the lenses made to suit/fit. Also opted for transitions with better scratch proof finish. Very happy with then and now that I can see what I'm shooting at its much more enjoyable to go to the range!
  3. 5 months to the day since I ordered, just got an email from DAA on my Evo order: Your order shipped yesterday by UPS. I have an extra day off at Thanksgiving so that should allow me time to set it up. Ya!
  4. Norm, good luck with everything, Alan
  5. All is good on this side of the pond. What brings you to the forum?
  6. He’s in the UK. As far as I know you cannot own a pistol in the UK...unless you are very well connected.
  7. I started out practicing with a G34 and picked up a bunch of other Glocks. Here in MA it's considered cool to have a Glock over Gen 1.5 as the AG thinks we cannot shoot newer Glocks! Go figure! Then I discovered real triggers!!! Anyhow, I now sell if I don't shoot them and only keep the ones I really like or may increase in value. As mentioned already I try to buy used gear as its always a lot cheaper.
  8. That will be very helpful. Where would be be without Amazon....actually at Best Buy! Anyhow, I did a quick search for "rak system" but not sure which one you are using/referring too. Was the other Mark7 post here or elsewhere? I'm following a few here, but its very possible I missed it. Thanks again.
  9. Looks great! I expect to get mine any day now. Last word from DAA was Mk7 called and said a pallet was on the way. I like the camera you have set up. It looks like a car back up camera that's installed in one of the die holes in the shell plate. I was thinking of doing the same on my old 650 but sold it to get my Evo. Do you mind sharing some info on the camera and how you have it set up? Thanks, Alan
  10. Great tips....will have to try all when I get my reloading space set up again. Just one tip from me; if you need to shim use blades from an old feeler gauge. Unlike paper they will not compress or fall apart. Insert the feeler gauge shims and test, once you know all is plum and working correctly put a dab of superglue on the shim(s) and permanently affix them. Also, as mentioned before I will never use pick up tubes again!
  11. All, got the following from DAA on my Evolution order this am. Guess I'll have to settle on a set up space this week!
  12. This has nothing to do with the post other than it reminds me of what my father used to say “dont go off 1/2 cocked”. Good luck getting the gun back up and running.
  13. I never took powder out of my 650, just topped it up when it got down about 1/2 way. That press was in a insulated room (wall, ceiling and floor) with a 2mm vapor barrier on the outside walls and floor in my basement so the temp/humidity was fairly consistent year round. It was located in the north east corner and had no windows. So it never got hot in the summer. Once or twice in January I’d turn on a small space heater if I was just standing around cleaning a gun, but if I was loading cranking the handle was good enough. Thats a long way of saying it depends on where your press is located.
  14. Lol....gizzard indeed. As a joke once I tried to buy 7mm mag ammo in a smaller local gun store and the owner said "try down the road in Montana". Mind you we we in Mass at the time! I call it my lawyer gun as you need to be highly paid to shoot it....$3 a pop....and it kick like a mule. But I would not want to be in its cross hairs.
  15. Two stories. #1. Was at my buddies range letting him shoot my Weatherby 7mm mag rifle when a turkey cam strolling across the range. He looked up at us and continue on. I fired over a shot (on the target) and he stopped for a second, then moved on. My buddy took two more shots and that dang turkey could not have cared less. No we didn't have Thanksgiving early! #2. A million years ago when I was in the Reserves in Ireland we were on the 300 yard range with Bren Guns. While we were setting up a few magpies flew in and landed at about 200 yards from us. After I spotted the birds I looked to the other end of the firing line and motioned to my buddy. We passed the word and finished setting up.....at this point all 9 of us were ready to do laps all afternoon. The order when up, single shot lads, fire at will......All nine of us flipped on the giggle switches and all nine lit up the 200 yard mark with 30 rounds a piece. The noise was glorious and boy did we send dirt flying. Needless to say the magpies were...well gone and all manner of cease firing orders where yelled out, but clearly too late! After that we ran around for a bit with Lee Enfields over out head, but we were young and dumb so it didn't bother us.
  16. I bought up a bit at time. Had a few Glock, then an STI. Found an Open I wanted so sold the STI and some others that were collecting dust.
  17. Liberty Chaotic Ti https://libertycans.net/chaotic-ti/.
  18. Height is the thing I have. One of the first accessories I got for my 650 was a Dillon Casefeeder. It’s simple a must have so I’m going back now. I have no experience with a Mr Bullet feeder but looking foward to using my left hand for scratching my rear end rather than feeding projectiles to passing brass!
  19. Thanks for sharing but it looks the same as any other press set up. Assuming the dims on Mk7 site are correct. It will be a tight squeeze but I’m really good at getting 10 lb of you know what into a 5 lb bag.
  20. Evo manual owners. I really pressed for space but I think I can carve out enough room inside our temporary apartment for my new toy (went it arrives). According to Mk7 site the Evo dimensions as follows: Overall machine dimensions are 37" tall (94cm) X 27" (68.6cm) wide x 18" deep Can someone please verify the overalls dimensions and let me know if the above are correct. Thanks all
  21. He didn’t say how many but the last time I saw a photo of a pallet full of presses on Mk7 Facebook page there were quite a few on there! I’m more excited than ever at this point. At my age it don’t take much to get my heart rate up!
