You can still hear the bass moving around and if you are running it fast you can hear the motor but it’s no worse than the crappy one. The joy of not stopping every 5th round is still worth it!

I don’t shoot 300 and I really don’t want to get into another caliber. I used to load .380, 9, 40 and 45. Dropped all bar 9. Used to shoot a lot more so the Evo was/is good as you said for bulk. I have a 750 for processing, might sell my Evo! If I lived in a free state where cans are legal for regular humans I’d start doing 300, but for now I’m stuck in Commichusetts! But, I have a few .223 and enjoy shooting them so I figured I’d start reading for it. However, I also have a 7mm and a few 303 so the Giraud will work for all. We’ll see how it goes….whenever it shows up.

I liked it so much I returned it! A good friend of mine and a reloading instructor said about 2 years ago to buy once and cry once...so I ordered a Giraud power trimmer. I needed to see the Mk7 one as I started the conversation with Misty over 3 years ago about it when it was still an idea at Mk7, but once I got it I knew I did not want to limit myself to one caliber (without a bunch of set up each time) so I got what I should have 2 years ago when I told my reloading friend about it and he said "just buy a Giraud".

Never mind. Apparently trim dies are undersized! More later, but I think I figured it out.

I just got my Power Trim Xpress and I need help setting it up. I’ll be using it for .223 so I bought the Lyman Pro Trim die for .223, but the end mill Mk7 sent is .3755 dia. There is no way that mill is going though the hole in top of the trim die as the case is certainly not coming out the top. BTW I’m setting up Hornady lock n load 223 REM Modified Case. So either I’m missing something big or they mailed me the wrong end mill. Of course this is assuming the mill is supposed to enter into the top hole of the trim die. If anyone has set up for .223 please ping me. Thanks, Alan

After playing around some more it I can’t see how it would work in this orientation as the channel shaped part inside hits the 38mm sorters! Really wise the OP of the entire thread would post some photos of the assembly for all parts to the shared Google drive.

The 38mm sorters fit better in this orientation. Not sure if it’s correct but I figured I’d share my findings.

Nice progress! You've convinced me to keep going on mine! Please keep posting the assemble photos. On mine I think I'm going to see it I can teach it to simply sort brass based by caliber (.380, 9. 223 and 45 is possible). Not sure about the 45 but its easy enough to sort it with the (regular) sorting trays. I'm currently printing the second Sorter 38 mm hose adapter as I initially only printed one.

I have not completed as this thread ran dry. I asked a few months ago for instructions as the OP mentioned putting some up but no word yet. BTW Prusa came out with a larger printer. I was considering buying one but don’t use the one I have enough to justify upgrading. So far my printer is working out very well with no issues.

I have all the parts printed and the nano plus three servos in hand. I read through everything on the g drive the other day and noticed something that said see photos for assembling the 3D parts. Did I miss the photos or are they posted somewhere in the thread? Thanks

On a second look the printer must have hick-upped as a few layers close to the bottom we’re all dogged to the right. I started re-printing (as material is cheap), so we’ll see how they do one at a time.

Good and I kicked off the other part the other day....so they should be done.

I just kicked off all the Dripper parts in a single 44 plus hour 3D printing session. Next to a Tavor model I once printed this will be the longest running print! Will post photos when complete.

I don't see it on Brownells, you got a link? However, I think I need to email Mk7 again....still waiting on mine. Ordered it on Feb 1, 2022 from Mk7's web site....and yes it said it was in stock. Got a "there going through QC" on Feb 10th but noting since.

I emailed Mk7 the other day as my card was dinged for the trimmer, but I did not receive a shipping email. Here’s the word directly from the horse’s mouth: “They are going through QC now and will ship by next week.” I’m not sure if I like that response or not. One would think if Mk7 is selling them, that the QC period is already over. However, we are living in interesting time so I’ll play along.

If you ever find yourself in MA look me up! Be happy to let you blast way at my club. However, I think I'd prefer to find myself in your neck of the woods....its 5 degrees this am. As for dots, like you I held off forever. Then I got into shooting Open where dots are standard. Now I won't even consider buying a side arm without a dot or the option to install one. If I ever and I hope I never have to pull my daily carry the threat will be inside 20 feet so I should land a few without a dot. At the range its dots all the way. People say you should practice what you carry and I do, but I find it hard to hide a gun with a dot on my hip and appendix carry is not for me. Perhaps when I retire we'll move to a 2A friendly state where open carry is ok. Then my friend it will be P or C2 with a dot all day long....one can only dream!
