  1. Still to high should be going for $950 to $1150. From what I read about what people are getting and how they are finished, should be more like $850.
  2. Price is what the market will bear at the time of sale and the interest in the model at that time. Example would be a 627 in 38 super sometimes have sold for $850 to $1200 and lately in the last 2 weeks one sold for close to $2400. Best advice would be to put them on a auction site and put a reserve on it that you are will to accept and a buy it now price that would really make you happy.
  3. I know several people that have modified their grips and removed material behind the trigger guard but didn't use them for long since recoil just beats up your middle finger too much. This was back when everyone was shooting major and may be more tollerable with the 8 shooters and minor loads. Still hurts with minor.
  4. Just shoot a revolver and no need for a brass or press check just look at the cylinder before you close it. :-)
  5. If interested I have 2 blank Hogue grips that fit a N frame round butt with all the hardware. I bought these as a winter project but a few winters have gone by and I have gone on to other projects. If interested shoot me an email at zemog@iowatelecom.net and I can send you some pictures. I would put them here but I can't figure it out. Dean
  6. Oh I was talking revolver shooters as being nice. :-)
  7. Very true never looked at it that way. But we are a bunch of nice guys and gals.
  8. So if they don't shoot in any of the other divisions in USPSA it also makes it easier for them to vote against divisions/rules cause it won't effect them. I would hope and believe that the current board of directors do not vote based on what they only compete in.
  9. 2-Alpha Bullets makes 125 grain in round nose and truncated cone with the super coat. Give John Latty a call and ask him if he would size some for you at .357 or .358. Tell him Dean Gomez sent you his way. That might be good or bad. :-)
  10. When you are going for the x zone for negative time. You bet. That is good to know on the mount
  11. True and I have both on my revolver. It is like anything else just a light coating. Maybe just spray some on a q-tip and wipe it on. If it stops hot fried food from sticking it should be able to handle the hot gasses. I might even try the butter flavor.
  12. Gregg K talked about it in the fourm "929 backing out" there were some other suggestions made also in that fourm.
  13. There was some other stuff made to help keep the comps clean but it is no longer made. I swear I read it on a post here in the revolver forum. I am going to give it a try.
  14. With the Eotech at the 3yd line on Icore standards aim at the top of the X zone or you will be low. With the horizontal mount do you have to worry about cylinder gap blast on the glass of the Cmore?
  15. they dont foul up the ports ? Same coating as Bayou bullets and no problem with fouling. Do what I read on another topic spray a little Pam on the ports.
  16. Good to go in my ported revolver. I use 2 Alpha Bullets.
  17. Both entries went in yesterday. If my slot for SS does not fall on Friday then I will probably get my money back as I don't want to shoot it on Thursday or Saturday. Either way I will be there for revolver.
  18. X-treme out of my V-Comp was good using short colt and 147 gr .357 kept them all in the xring at 50 yards on Icore targets. Berrys were so so.
  19. I use 160gr 2-Alpha coated lead bullets with 3 ports and never had a problem. I have also used Berry and X-treme plated bullets and never have had problems. These loads range from 125pf to 135pf.
  20. Give it till this time next year and you should be able to buy for $900 or less everyday of the week. Patience my friends.
  21. Try Dillon case lube in compensator before shooting. Will also keep comp clean and easier to clean. Remember just a light flim or the first time you fire your red dot and glasses will be covered with lube. Also do a search on Google on how to clean a compensator.
  22. Cleaning solution would be 50% white vinegar and 50% hydrogen peroxide. Soak cap in soultion and for a couple of hours and then clean. Use this on stainless steel only and do not use on any other finish. Last comp I cleaned I let it soak for 24 hrs then cleaned and repeated until clean. You shouldn't have to go that extreme as the comp I was cleaning had crud in it that had built up over the years. But when finished looked like new. Spray a small amount of WD 40 on comp before shooting and it will make it easier to clean. Not a lot just enough to put a small flim on it.
  23. You can still shoot open in ICORE even without the end cap. Nothing says the gun has to be ported. Just putting a red dot on a revolver will put you in open.
