  1. The shoulder as you call it in the cylinder is the start of the cylinder throat it is not the same as a semiauto barrel which uses head space. Revolvers head space on the back of the cylinder hence rimmed cartridge and that is why a 38 special can be shot through a .357 cylinder. When a cylinder is cut for moon clips a rim around the edge is left so the revolver can be fired with or without moons. Now when they came up with rimless ammo to fire in a revolver the moon clip was invented to get proper head space and without the moon clip FTF will happen and extraction will not happen at all. Again I say fire away with the 45ACP, 9mm or 38 super in a revolver without moon clips and have fun. But word of warning please don't try it during a match as there is not enough time in a day to complete the match. By the way I did understand your comments.
  2. ????This was all explained in another post. Try shooting a cylinder full and then let us know how well the extractor works. In fact you don’t even have to shoot them just place them in there. Please take a video and attach when you do this.
  3. So how serious are you, will you refuse the revolver if it comes back with another blemish. Will you sue S&W or will you bad mouth them here on this forum. Curious minds want to know. All this drama could have been saved by inspecting the revolver before accepting it. Hope you the best as S&W has always treated me with great customer service.

First off I have never ran spacers on my server I just put the lip of the next moon clip on top of the prior one. I also have two North Mountain single post on my belt for those table starts. If you tried to put moon clips on a server on the clock that be like the old saying about a monkey and a football . I would take a picture of my belt but I will not be home for a week.

I forgot to add that the DAA also works for my Ruger Super GP100

I have a DAA holster and a moon clip server. As long as the revolvers you are shooting are N frame the holster works on all. My server will accommodate 9mm, 10mm, 38 short colt, 38 super and 45 ACP. Basically anything that is a moon clip. If I show up with multiple revolvers all I need to do is change revolver and moon clips. I also have 2 North Mountain single post for those table loads

Second for the moon clip server. Moons are always in the same place and you never have to look down to see where the next moon clip comes from.
  8. I am sorry that I did not read post 13 and 20 more closely. I see now that the spring had somehow worked it’s way out of the trigger and jammed between the rebound and the trigger. Maybe a new spring might help as either end might be to short to stay in place when continuous cycling of the trigger. Bad thing about just ordering that spring the shipping will cost the same or more that the spring.
  9. I am pretty sure that spring does not go there. You should not even be able to see it if installed correctly. Should be inside the trigger.
  10. Would this not be the same as people pinning the grip safety on a SS. All my competition revolvers are Carmonized so I do not have any hammer spurs or parts of the hammer that sticks out past the frame. I remove the flag so it will not become an issue during a match. In my carry revolvers I only polish the insides as if I ever have to use it which I hope I never do. I do not want some anti gun lawyer saying that I specifically worked on the trigger to make the revolver more deadly and that I did it with intention. One of my revolvers has been that way since 1997 and it has been dropped and no boom maybe I am just lucky.
  11. In all my competition revolvers I have removed the flag to eliminate the possibility of it hanging up. In my carry revolvers I have worked on the flag like Toolguy suggested. Myself I see no need for the flag in a competition revolver.
  12. With the new woke and cancel culture. I will put on a match and the entry fee will be $100. You can send me the $100 and I will send you a score card showing that you were DQ’d. This should make you feel better about yourself and you no longer have to feel bad about not being DQ’d in the past. I could use some help naming the match and spreading the word. I will donate half of the entry fees to Brian Enos Forms. ✌
  13. I know I sent a MO for an AR and it was going to Connecticut and it took like 2 weeks and I even paid for 3 day delivery. Thanks for the tip on the hammer
  14. Where did you get your hammer. Also the release has not shown up yet in the mail
  15. I will help you out and see how it fits my GP100. I also want to compare it to the release that I put on mine. I will PM you with my address.
  16. Remember “Rare Guns” are only worth what someone is willing to pay you for it.
  17. Looks like a copy of North Mountain
  18. For the right price I could be tempted to sell my 38 Super cylinder or my cylinder cut to 38 short colt length.
  19. My revolvers run 6.5 lbs with the same scale. Trigger jobs done by Pinnacle were at 6.5 and this measure them at 6.5
