  1. I sold all my super comp brass and topend of my open gun to finance the switch to 9 major. I happened on a great deal for about 50K pieces of once fired 9mm brass for a steal, so I am set for a long time. I don't notice much if any difference in the performance once I tunned the gun to what I like. Now I don't have to worry about feeling like I have to find every piece of brass when I shoot and I don't mind lost brass matches at all.
  2. WOW, I have 14 more years before I'm in that boat. I do know how you feel though, good luck with your extra practice time now.
  3. I agree with Gman here, I had an Edge a couple of years ago that I bought one of the drop in trigger kits for and with all the parts from the kit installed it would do the same thing. If I put the original sear back it stopped, so I just needed to have the safety fit to that sear and all was fine.
  4. You would think so, but it is specifically approved, see what I mean? Just like a 6 inch 40 sight tracker is.
  5. But it is not apples to oranges since the rules for steel say the gun must meet the requirements for the declared USPSA(or IDPA)division.
  6. Yep, exactly and why is a 6 inch 9mm sight tracker legal in limited for steel, but not limited in USPSA? I have heard a first hand account of how that was approved and it does not make sense. All I would like is a system that makes sense and is followed.
  7. Hmm, I wonder why they want proof of 500 guns when the rule reads or components? I also wonder if they have made the arguement for the .355 barrel to be allowed?
  8. OK, so I was just messaging a member about sight trackers only being allowed in 5 inch 40 cal guns when I got to thinking. The way I understand barrel making all of our 5 inch barrels start life as a 6 inch blank then get chopped down to 5 inches or what ever we asked for. So, if 500 5 inch barrels are documented wasn't this actually 500 6 inch barrels that just happened to get chopped down? Then I got to thinking on the whole 9mm deal. I realized that the 5 and 6 inch .355 barrels are the same ones used in a boat load of open guns that just have the rib drilled for that division and the end threaded for a comp. So, with all that couldn't Schuemann make a case that the numbers have been met in both 40 and 9mm for 5 and 6 inch guns?
  9. I've been trying to get in touch with him for the last 6 months with no luck.
  10. Flex will be up and running with his new cell phone anytime. Here is a pic.
  11. Did you try CDNN Investments?
  12. USPSA classifications do not count. If you have an IPSC classification, we do use those, but the reality is that so few shooters in the US have IPSC classifications, so that essentially, nearly everyone is unclassified. There are usually not enough shooters in a class to give out class awards (note minimum numbers in Appendix A2 of IPSC handgun rules). Linda Chico (L-2035) 2010 US IPSC Nationals Statistician Might be a good time for local clubs to consider IPSC Classification matches... MCRC has held them in the past. Jack, Point me in the direction of how to do this please. I have wanted to run an IPSC match to get classified for over a year now, and I can't wait for this match.
  13. Good job, that was a tough match for iron sights in a couple of places. This match is intense for a local, but that is why I over look the no written stage briefing part and just go shoot. This is the type of match that if you shoot it on a regular basis it will make you a better shooter and major matches will not get in your head, because you have shot a variety of props before. edited to add, I shot this match with a great squad of people that I had not had the chance to shoot with in a long time.
  14. Or you could send your 40 brass to Kenny at SSS to have them comercially roll sized for a penny a piece. I have retired my U die since he has offered this service.

    Nexus One!

From what I have been reading the SnapDragon is only a little faster than the one in the Droid. I'm still in my 30 day window for a return, so I'm really watching how the 2.1 upgrade improves the Droid. Although my droid does not have any lag at all once I ditched the Home++ app.

    Nexus One!

The processor makes it a little bit faster than the DROID, but the Android 2.1 operating system is the real kicker for speed. Droid should get the update this month. Also if you wait until spring the Nexus 1 will be coming to Verizon. TMobile coverage is worse than AT&T in my area. I think Google is well on it's way to taking over the world.
  17. My solution to this same problem was to tell everyone that if they would donate 6 hours of their time to my match we could all show up at 7:30 and be finished with a 5 stage match including teardown by 1:30 I also let them know that we would start on time, first shots would be fired by 9:30. Now, how many stages we actually would have was up to them. If we had 3 stages set-up then it was a 3 stage match, if they had 5 done we have a 5 stage match. Since we started this about half of the shooters are able to leave the range(from a 5 stage match) by about 12:30 after they have put away the last stage shot. There are always 1-2 squads that are having a great social time and run a little behind, but that I think is a good thing and all the matches have been 5 stages so far also.
  18. +1 to this post. Anything up to a 2006 with the 5.9 Cummings is good.
  19. OK, since you are about to have 2 then you can loan me 1 to see how I like his open guns. Hey, it sounds good from my end. Honestly, I'm setting here looking at a box of parts and the check book. decisions decisions.
  20. I'm glad I read this thread. I have put 2K through mine and never thought to check the comp for leading. Those holes are plugged tight. I guess I'll be soaking it tonight.
  21. Wow Matt, now I have a new project for mine. I really like the red.
  22. My 5 inch sight tracker slide weighs 11 ounces, 6 inch sight tracker 11.5 oz, open gun bare 5 inch slide weighs 10 ounces.
  23. Thanks for the help everyone. I located him and everything seems to be fine now.
  24. I shot this gun at a local steel match yesterday using factory 115JHP(only because I had a slight issue with my reloads at the time). The gun hardly moves with factory ammo. After cleaning all the slober off the gun from people that had to see it, I was asked to compare the different weights to my 5 inch short dust cover sight tracker. Here it is: 5 inch short dust cover sight tracker: empty gun weight 37 ounces sight tracker barrel 6 onces complete slide minus the barrel, recoil rod, spring and reverse plug 11 ounces 6 inch sight tracker: empty gun weight 36 ounces sight tracker barrel 7 ounces complete slide minus the barrel, recoil rod, spring and reverse plug 11.5 ounces I didn't weigh the bottoms so I don't know how the slide and barrel weigh a total of 1.5 ounces more, but the overall gun weighs 1 ounces less. I do know that the balance is amazing and a 40 cal version is on my drawing board( along with some other stuff).
