  1. Thanks for reminding me of the Rex I kinda forgot about them
  2. Why is it the best decision? Was the Elftmann no doing well? Or, is it now that all your triggers are the same?
  3. So that (standard length) is shorter than the 9mm one from blitzkrieg? Or am I thinking wrong?
  4. I agree with this, I will also probably start out this way (as blitzkrieg recommend) then go from that base line. (I will be using a carbine length tube) I already have the wave springs, but won't put them in to start, if only just for my own satisfaction of comparing the difference.
  5. Yes it's built specifically for PCCs I know a lot ofthe guys around here are switching to it.
  6. Don't see much love for the Elftmann AR9 trigger here. Is it just because of lack of exposure, or are guys having problems?
  7. I am in the process of setting a couple up myself. I did the same homework you are, and decided they all seem to be similar in performance. The biggest difference is ease of disassembly. I ended up going with Taylor Freelance because they are kind of a local business for me. No matter who's you get, you won't go wrong.
  8. Cut an extra one for me LOL I figured I am going to start with quarters, then once I have it dialed in, I would whip something up to replace the quarters.
  9. Stoped by and talked to them yesterday. They got the laser engraving done, and all the pieces are at cerakoting now! Maybe next week?!?
  10. I think most of the guys around my area are running the Isler
  11. Part of it for me is keeping my money local. But that another conversation
  12. Its a Jones Arms Kronos If you order both upper and lower, they come as a hand fitted set, with serial numbers etc. They just opened up a new store front, plus one of the brothers hurt his back and is getting surgery. So they are way behind on manufacturing them. They are actually going set mine up with an odin upper for now, until they get caught up, then he said he will switch out the odin if I want.
  13. I picked up an almost new vortex razor for $270 So now I have the optic piece of the puzzle done. Now I wait....... I think the receiver set is almost done, and I should be able to start construction soon
  14. I like this idea. It's probably more important to go with what's most comfortable and natural to find the dot, and then worry about corrections later.
  15. Am I going to see much difference in effective accuracy of my dot as distance changes between absolute and lower 1/3? My thinking is that, as the sight gets farther away from the plane of the barrel, it increases the angle. I want to make the least amount of mental corrections as possible, but I assume there will need to be some as I get real close, or move back 30-40yrds
  16. I am pretty sure that the distortion comes from the way the dot is projected. I have an astigmatism, and I think the star burst/double dot that seems to come with it is a pain in the butt, but I am learning to live with it. I just picked up a razor, and it seems to be a little bit better than my Burris Fastfire III, but I don't know if that's just because the razor has a smaller dot, (6 moa vs 8 moa) or the way they are built.
  17. If you have a look at the new Jones Arms Kronos, you will see that you don't need a ramped barrel, they feed everything and run great.
  18. Get a Jones Arms Kronos Or at least get the upper/lower from them and build another.
  19. I decided to get the battle arms safety lever https://www.rainierarms.com/selector-switch-b-a-d-standard-thin-2-levers/ Now I just have to grab an optic. I may just use the Burris Fastfire III that's on my S&W 15-22 currently. I can just add it to the list of stuff that is "temporary to get started" like the furniture.
  20. I have finally made a decision https://www.rainierarms.com/selector-switch-b-a-d-standard-thin-2-levers/
  21. I would set up the AR Try an Elftmann trigger But I am probably the last guy here that should be giving advice, as I am still learning myself.
