  1. What's everyone's preferred brand of safety lever? Also- ambi or one sided? I have been shooting some of my buddies guns, and I have noticed that sometimes the ambi style seems to get tangled up in my trigger finger, if I am not used to the gun. I am sure it's something I can work through. Plus I am sure the ambi would be good for weird off hand stuff. What's your opinions?
  2. I have many of the parts sitting here now, and wait for the receiver set is killing me. What's everyone's preferred safety lever?
  3. Mine showed up today, so all I need now is my upper and lower to be made. Waiting has given me time for homework though.
  4. My Fortis break is definitely working at 43.684% efficiency based on the tape test. My barrel is 10.5" so YMMV. I ended up switching to a Ranier Arms Ultramatch barrel, so I am going to try a Epsilon VG6 instead (my original choice) The reason I was going with the Fortis is the 36 vs 28 threads on the CMMG barrel I was originally going to use.
  5. You can use them without the extra tabs. Plus many handles seem to run $75-120
  6. I have noticed that the tube type restricted my peripheral view with the knobs and the big tube etc.
  7. I haven't gotten mine yet, they are on the way. But I am 99% sure the link I posted is the correct one.
  8. Today I bought a Ranier Arms Ultramatch barrel, VG6 muzzle brake, and a Next Level Armament charging handle. (I am not going to use the CMMG barrel and Fortis brake.) I got the NLA charging handle because it's was a little less expensive than the Raptor, and they make one for my s&w15-22.
  9. I have been looking for a barrel that will take most any load, so I got a long 147g xtp to use for the plunk test. CMMG = not even close, wouldn't fit at all. Faxon = went in, but not all the way, and wouldn't spin at all. Ranier Arms Ultramatch = no problem, spun nice and smooth.
  10. Here ya go https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0085ZOZFI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_V4PYAbQD5RE2X
  11. I will be running factory 115g blazer brass ammo (93.7% of the time) With a 16"barrel with a Fortis Brake. I will be very curious to see how much it (the brake) is working
  12. After watching that, of I didn't already have the blitzkrieg sitting here, I would probably go with the Taccom
  13. I went with the Atlas S One handguard thinking the rail section at he front will hopefully help me get a spot to grab the same most of the time
  14. Thanks for the info, but I can't seem to find it. (I may be looking in the wrong place) Is "SI" Strike industry?
  15. That is who I currently buy all my ammo from. They have a program to get it even cheaper with free shipping on any amount. Just ordered a case of bulk 115g blazer brass for $0.17 per rnd, delivered.
  16. Now I am looking at charging handles, any recommendations or stuff I should stay away from? Will the "latchless" style work?
  17. I don't know much about the ammo, other than the price is too high. I can have blazer brass delivered to the house for less.
  18. Great list, thanks. I have done a lot of reading, aND asked lots of questions in preparation for my build. The only thing that I was sure of that wasn't on your list is the Elftman AR9 trigger
  19. I was going to go with Epsilon VG6, but the CMMG barrel I am using is 1/2-36 (Got a super deal on it from 777 Tactical) So I am limited on available brakes.
