  1. Seen a 9 through a 40, somehow it didn't crack, just a perfect bell. They loaded it in the middle of a magazine of 40, POP POP POP pop POP POP while everyone looks around wondering what happened. Sure enough, cycled fine. Not that I would recommend it. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  2. Do you find the quality of the trigger pull different? I know they are harder to work on, which you will probably be doing if you are a serious shooter, but can't think of why the handling would be any different Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Trigger weight?

Dry fire it in DA a ton and you will get used to it. Or shoot revolver for a while (not kidding, you'll really improve). Either way you slice it, DA will always be different, just have to practice for it enough and it'll become 2nd nature Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

    Trigger weight?

Option 2 easily. I much prefer a pull between 2.5 and 3 than anything less, and lighter is better in DA to me. I wonder how they plan to accomplish that though. My guess is that variation is more gun to gun, and weights will probably be similar between the two of springed the same with same parts. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  5. I use the thumb roll, I feel like making my thumb essentially a hammer block makes it far safer than pinching, but to each his own. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone have any experience with this and the stock sear both? I fitted the stock sear to where it functions just fine, but I'm wondering if the Cajun sear would make things crisper due to the hardness. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  7. Finally got around to trying Prima SV in .45 and..... Wow. 230gr RN coated with 3.7gr makes 165 power factor and is an absolute dream to shoot. Haven't tried Clay's or WST, but I would be surprised if anything else it's markedly better. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  8. I went with a manual safety version, essentially strictly a USPSA gun so manually lowering the hammer. Decocker would be easier in that regard, but are more difficult to work on. That, and considering I still have the option for cocked and locked (steel), it's worth the hassle to me. Now as far as vanilla SP01 vs shadow, I've been very pleased with the SP01, but now that I've progressively upgraded it I am wishing I had the shadow reset. Doing it again, if I could have found a base shadow (8-900) I would have gone that direction, but not 1,200. And a year ago they were impossible to find so wasn't even an option. 9. I ran into a lot change of Unique right before a major match, luckily I did a quick check to make sure it was the same because it definitely wasn't. Had about a 75 fps drop and had to get a new load worked up the week of the match lol. Would have brought me sub major, and actually had a few already loaded I didn't have time to do more so I risked it and ran with a few of the light loads..... Not a good feeling having your first shot on the Chrono stage come in 60fps lower than power factor (must have also been a light drop, gotta love Unique), but at least the others were well above and averaged it fine. 10. Any rough guess on a price range? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  11. That being said my favorites are K and L frames, but the competition market seems like it would be almost entirely N frame. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  12. Might get more interest with an N frame. Between the 625 for 6 shots and 627/9 for 8,I can't imagine there being to much more variety for most competitors. This coming from a guy using a GP100. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  13. Plus something about having the muzzle pointed at your thigh never sounded like a good idea to me, went with a boss hanger and works great. Makes it super easy to swap out holsters if you stick with blade tech too. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  14. Thought about a dovetail mount? I use one on my SP01 and love it (plus last I checked $40 was less than $150). Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  15. 2nd match in, and no real interest in switching back to production. CO is just too much fun. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  16. Just went with a dovetail mount on my SP01 from Springer. Harder to change back and forth but honestly CO is so much fun, why would I want to? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  17. I am using a Venom with a 3moa dot. Was worried it would be too small and considered the 6 but I am very happy with the 3. I feel like if it was too big I would have doubt to where the bullet would be inside the dot, but no second guessing with the smaller one. Turning it up on a bright day makes it still very easy to see, not really seeing the appeal of anything larger. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  18. Not even really concerned about velocity, will load to 170pf or so and won't be using it in big matches with a Chrono. More worried about pressure issues, but sounds like a non problem. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  19. Is there a big difference between the two assuming the same powder load? Starting to load 45 and naturally brass is about half and half. Would be nice to not have to change loads if only a very slight velocity difference. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  20. Terrible, I'll repay you and you can send me the gear so you can forget about the whole thing. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  21. Started off with Bullseye, but after trying Prima V unless the price goes up dramatically I couldn't justify anything else. Clean, soft shooting, scary consistent variation in velocity (sub 5fps on half my rounds), and is even bulky enough to not even come close to allowing a double charge (doesn't cling to the case wall like bullseye does though, so less spilled powder) At what, $17 shipped from Graf's with a 10lb order, not a lot to not like. Even mimics my Bullseye load, 3.9gr 124 fmj makes 129pf. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  22. It's been a while since I've used the CZC hammer so I can't really compare the break, but I can say the CGW hammer is easier to manipulate. Not a huge deal, but everything else bring equipment is good to have. Also, not having to loctite or stake hammer pins is a big plus. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  23. Sorry if it's been mentioned already, but Powder Valley had it in stock in 1 and 8lbs. Same price as promo, very nice (still doubt I'll bite as long as Graf's runs the hazmat deal on PV though). Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  24. The only exception being mag capacity, P09s are pretty awesome in that regard. That being said I have an SP01 for USPSA and wouldn't trade it for anything. Recently mounted a red dot on it so now I get to play with the big basepad extensions too. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  25. What loads were you using? Looking at data it seems like you could make major with Trail Boss, and that would seem to be a very fun thing indeed. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
