What’s SSC?

A 627 and a 610 are on my list of revolvers to buy in the future.

RJH so now this sounds very interesting and sounds like it would be fun. I would think it would possibly bring in more/new shooters, but the only to get this to work and grow in good promoting and consistency from one year to the next.

Well here’s my thing I do want to get into running a revolver. In fact I just bought a new 625 JM and am getting it tuned one step at a time. My only problem is there is no one around me to work with. I have to drive 2 hrs plus to find anyone to shoot with. So what advice would you guys give me? I would like to compete and have fun, but I do have a limited budget holding me back.

I’ve used the Redding Comp. seating die for several yrs. it makes for easy adjustments, for which I load 40’s for my 2011’s and then I load also for my M&P’s at SAAMI spec. so once the day is set adjusting between the two different o.a.l.’s is easy. I am currently switching my 40 cal setup from my 550 to a super 1050. Should be interesting.

I have been using a older Lee hand primer for my deep seated federals.

WOW that is insane! Is the step brass a 9 mm thing only, or does the case design carry over into other calibers?

What’s funny is there is what appears to be a stress crack and I wonder if that could be caused from storing powder in it for to long? Does anyone know if the powder measure can be updated to the newer fail safe design, and if it’s worth it?

So I inherited a older Dillion powder measure and the powder hopper is discolored and I have been wondering if the discoloration is because of sun light or caused by storing powder in it for to long. Any thoughts?

So is better to lighten a stock hammer versus a TK or a Apex?

Wow! It sounds like it could have been worse. I’m glad to hear you are okay. This is all good info as I am setting up a used super 1050 for loading 40’s.

That’s crazy! I don’t wanna go quite that slow. I still want to be able to shoot the plate rack and Texas star. I figure if my son can learn to ahoot those two target arrangements clean, and under 10 seconds. He will be able to out shoot me any day of the week.

Has anyone tried these loads in a revolver? The reason I’m asking is I just bought a Smith 625JM and I’m wanting some light loads for my son so he can run it and not get beaten up.

Has anyone ever heard of someone hard chromeing press frame bore?

I am using a safariland 014 for both of my 6”’Eagles. Fit and function is perfect and I love the trigger lock!

What is the intended purpose of the speed bump and the reason for it?

I spoke with another gentleman from Dillon and he informed me that a fair amount of the time they take a .005” feeler gauge and try to insert it between the ram and the frame, and if it fits easily the the frame is out of spec. He said that’s what they do for a quick check.

Is the stainless worth the extra cost over the blued moon?

What brass works best with the TK moon clips besides Starline for this gun?
