  1. I just noticed SMOS is making a 16" rifle length gas that may be appealing to you. Here's a pic of my 13.7" midlength with pinned comp.
  2. M2 from Hayes TTI Combat Master 34 - this has to be one of the best executed glocks I've seen. SMOS Arms rifle with a bunch of JP parts- already own this. Best shooting rifle I've ever owned, and their receivers are beautiful. Not a thing on it that I would change.
  3. GMR-15 seems to be an obvious choice, it meets all of your requirements.
  4. I built this about six months ago, it's amazing: SMOS Arms upper/lower/handguard SMOS Arms 13.7" mid length barrel JP gasblock, SCS, ultra low mass BCG, 3 port comp AR Gold trigger Vortex Viper 1-6 This rifle is super flat shooting, low recoil, accurate, and looks great.
  5. How/where did you relocate the serial number on your gun?
  6. This could definitely be his problem. I've been using their one piece rings for a few months and I'm not too impressed. I've had two that had sharp edges that caused the bolt to stick. Now I have one that is loose and letting gas by.
  7. So if you turn gas down any further bolt won't lock back? Has this been adjusted since you added the SCS and low mass bcg? What length barrel and gas length? Is it a lightweight build? Heavier rifles usually feel better.
  8. You can order the white spring by itself for about $8.
  9. TTI lightspeed spring and remove weights from standard buffer is cheap and easy. Taccom setup is good too. JP SCS is expensive, but really nice.
  10. Call AA I'm pretty sure those barrels are still available.
  11. Check out MK Machining. I really like their hanger design for a T post.
  12. Went to the range to get more data on velocities of different ammo from the SMOS 13.7" and Stretch 16 barrels. I was surprised by how little of a difference there was. These are the average of 5 shots. FM 55g new: 2921 vs 2949 FM Vmax 55g new: 2700 vs 2735 Stand 1 55g: 2768 vs 2827 Stand 1 68g: 2631 vs 2681
  13. I'd have to double check, but I believe 2750 with Freedom Munitions 55g. I'm shooting it further than I intended to since it's been so accurate.
  14. I noticed similar results with the barrels I'm using. I'm using JP Comp, JP low mass bcg, JP SCS, and adjustable gas in both rifles. The SMOS Arms 13.7" mid-length barrel Is softer shooting than the Stretch 16 intermediate barrel. Both rifles weigh the same ~8lbs.
  15. I use a 13.7" mid-length barrel from SMOS Arms with a JP 3-port comp pinned, it is simply amazing. It is my softest shooting gun and very accurate. I shot it out to 450yds the other day. I also have an Adam's Arms gun with a 16.5" rifle length gas piston. The barrel is super accurate and light. I think the key to these long for barrel length gas systems is to run a low mass carrier and buffer and light buffer spring. I would not attempt a build on either of the barrels you mentioned, I think those are more suited to shooting suppressed.
  16. Likely installed slide stop wrong, but it's possible your grip is putting upward pressure on the slide stop. The standard non-extended may work better if that's the case.
  17. Buffer weight is reciprocating mass just like the BCG, removing weight from buffer will do the opposite of what you are thinking. Reducing gas is the answer. Not trying to dissuade you from experimenting, just providing a short cut to your destination.
  18. LW BCG is part of a system. Adjustable gas and buffer spring are the other parts. So, options are to use your old BCC if you are happy with the way it runs. Or, use an adjustable gas block to reduce the amount of gas going to BCG, and get a lighter spring like the TTI.
  19. http://www.safariland.com/products/holsters-and-gear/gear/belts-and-keepers/competition-belts/rigid-competition-belt-DG_1.html#sz=12&start=25 The 26" is pretty small. Their underbelt is thinner than any other I've seen, which is nice because kid's clothes tend to have small belt loops.
  20. The Razor is so good I wouldn't care if it was pink.
  21. You'll be impressed with it. I've also been impressed with the Steiner P4xi 1-4, super bright dot and great glass for under $500.
  22. No! I greatly prefer a single illuminated dot type reticle that must be aimpoint bright. The Viper is an awesome scope for the money that delivers this.
  23. I've been shooting a Razor gen2 1-6 w/ JM reticle for the past year. I recently received a viper gen2 1-6 w/ MRAD reticle. The dot on the viper is slightly bigger than the Razor and just as bright. The glass on the Razor is better, definitely clearer on the edges. The eye box is more forgiving on the Razor. JM reticle is cleaner as well. Razor is still king, but the Viper is great for the money. When I first looked through the Viper I figured I would wind up selling the Razor, but after shooting the Viper for a little bit I decided to keep the Razor.
  24. I'm running a BAD lever on a JP. I had to do a little filing on the BAD lever, but it works great.
  25. OP asked about the ultralight contour. I would choose the light contour over the ultralight for 3 gun all day long. I would only choose ultralight if I had to carry the rifle ie. duty use.
