That's the problem with the way I have mine too. I ended up running it off the front of my bench and into a bucket underneath. That ebay design is definitely interesting. It'd be nice because the bottom hose never moves this way.
Might also want to consider changing recoil springs to still cycle with the lack of power. I know this is not reloading specific, but something to remember.
This all the way. It's a little bit of a pain having to push thru size each piece of brass, but the amount of issues dropped drastically. If you have the coin you could always look into a rollsizer as well. If I loaded the volume/had money for it I'd get one for the time saving.
I don't think any of them are totally going to get around the nesting issue. Even with the shell sorter I have the occasional few that want to nest inside each other.
Here is one variation. There are quite a few if you search Shell Sorter on YouTube. Different people have different methods on it, but same result. This one is quite in depth with mods and stuff, but doesn't have to be that difficult.
I was looking for this exact video on full disassembly, but wasn't able to locate it.
I did find the series 80 slide disassemble video (if the OPs gun is series 80)
NicTaylor00 has a lot of good 1911 videos.
I put a Speed Demon kit in my 1911 from them. Everything went in without any issue. Did have to file on the thumb safety some to get it to properly engage/disengage, but followed directions online and took it slow. 10/10 would buy the same kit again.
I wondered what happened to this machine. Not sure why it would come in at the same price as the 1050. I feel like people would just buy a 1050 and still have the option to load. Although I did hear there were slight machine changes.
