  1. If you go DAA, and want to use it as a backpack without a cart, DO NOT - repeat - DO NOT get the large. It's a PITA to carry as a backpack, too tall & hits/rests on my mag pouches while carrying & can get loaded down/too heavy very quickly. If I were to do it over again, I'd go DAA medium all day. Heck I might just sell the Pro and do that anyway.
  2. Welcome DC. I'm up in Spring Branch but have been shooting in Galveston primarily at GRPC's USPSA matches.
  3. When was the last time you cleaned inside the grip along with complete stripping and cleaning the magazines? My mags (tanfo) will get a little sticky from pro-grip or carbon smootz if I don't clean them.
  4. Pretty much. My locals setup 1 or 2 really obscure classifiers to be cute or super easy to setup classifiers. Not much variation with several of my local clubs.
  5. The scores are not changing retroactively. It is only going forward we will see the change. None of my classifiers are different from 2 weeks ago. Yes it will be harder going forward, but no recorded classifiers prior to 6.27.18 are changing.
  6. Can't fix stupid Jake...
  7. Yeah, if the cost is the same, there is no way I'd use titegroup. Interesting anecdotal note, during practice last week I was using the last of some old practice ammo which had a few TG rounds mixed in. During a drill the sudden appearance of smoke on a shot was really distracting; it was a TG round mixed in with e3 stuff. You don't realize how "much" smoke a TG round has in comparison to low/no smoke rounds.
  8. @rowdyb Internal or external cuts?
  9. Huh, I've got a family friend with a mill and welders. I'm thinking someone could build a jig to hold the two mags in alignment for welding. Somehow we could cool the jig so one could weld entirely on the jig..... Hrmmmm
  10. Geez man, you've got every set of grips known for Tanfo's eh? I'm curious as to the profile when compared with Henning, Factory Wood, and LOK grips. Something between factory wood & Henning seems ideal.
  11. Then you'll grandbag into a classification which you are not competitive. No way to change that unless they count every single classifier.
  12. Don't forget the iron sights and grips can change weigh an ounce or two. Several folks have successfully made weight with Shadow 2's.
  13. I think it will be better as a whole, classifying folks where they really belong. It is frustrating due to my current classification compared to where I want to be. It just makes it harder; oh well, I've got to work harder.
  14. Sport Pistol is just a "cooler" burning formulation, it will work with any bullet type. Titegroup is "hotter" causing more "burn" to lead & coatings, causing more smoke. Quote marks used due to my ignorance of chemistry. I build things, not chemically analyze them for a living.
  15. Yup, Just not imported to the US. We’re supposed to be getting a new, small frame “Lim Pro” soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Crap, there goes another $100 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Same size as Factory? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. TSO is single action only, no go in CO. They have to be striker to SA/DA guns unfortunately.
  19. I know if it's short stroked it will do that. I mean is the "full stroke" pushing the case in far enough? Every time or on occasion? Is the shuttle worn? How fast up the shell plate goes doesn't change the situation much, IMO. It sounds like an issue with inserting the case from the feeder/shuttle interface.
  20. Is the shuttle pushing the brass in far enough? Every so often or when I short stroke a bit, the brass will catch my Lee Std. Sizing Die. It just needs a slight tap further towards the center.
  21. If they haven't won, in this sport, they're kind of a hack.
  22. It hasn't for me. I still use OneShot lube on all my 9mm cases. I bought the Frankford Arsenal dehydrator. I just put it on max heat for ~90min, same amount of time the tumbler runs. Do it in batches, everything comes out dry.
  23. My production scores "would" drop an average of 8% across the board. What a kick in the nuts.
