  1. At work, not working this morning, ran across the Unica grips on Patriot Defense's webshop... First I've seen or heard of them. Does anyone know what sort of profile these grips possess? It looks similar to Henning, no where near as large as the factory woodies, but also a good bid wider than EGW's thins. I really don't need to spend more money right now but grips are my Siren's Song.

    Henning Grips

Henning's stuff doesn't seem to go on sale often, the price is the same across all vendors.

    Henning Grips

Hennings? Best deal going right now is $112. I know BSPS, Henning direct, and Shooters Connection have them.
  4. Good to hear and congrats on the finish, pretty solid.
  5. How’d it do at A7? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Do you have a hand weighed control set for comparison? Really tough to compare if we don’t have a baseline. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Getting into the weeds... but my point is on certain targets or positions, major shoots will accept two C's as the overall speed is of higher importance than picking up 2 points. Or I could be completely wrong. I've been shooting for 2 years and still B class.
  8. Please explain. The math tells the truth. Yes, Major wants to shoot as many A’s as possible but will tolerate plans with many more C possibilities than Minor plans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Setup a standard classifier. El Prez or Front Sight are two good ones. And those are pretty setup to run any of the standard drills afterwards.
  10. Says the Open/Limited GM! Major PF certainly changes the game for scoring.
  11. That is correct but the better shooters in production are going to shoot ~90%+ points and 80%+ Alphas. It's always a game of getting faster and more accurate. It's tough to explain without spending a tremendous amount of time. Read some books & this forum and listen to some podcasts.
  12. Diameter does matter if your gun doesn't like whichever you pick. Too small can result in tumbling/non-stabilized rounds, leading, poor accuracy, etc. .356 is generally regarded as good to go in all auto-loaders. Generally.
  13. Bob - Work/Life/Family balance. I'd shoot 2 or 3 per month if I could. As is, 1 match per month and 4 or 5 practice sessions. It's paying off, hit 95% cold and 102% (second run) on El Prez last Friday. I might be shooting at Kidlat 7/7 but certainly will be at ISPC Nationals mid-July.
  14. Same here. I notice no difference between 125pf & 138pf when shooting a drill/match pace.
  15. @IHAVEGAS no arguing that. But saying they have NO safety is disingenuous.
  16. Yigal - no dude, you just have a penchant for posting negative things. I don't see much helpful or positive. Stating facts.
  17. Jack - you know better than that. All polymer framed guns have some form of safety on the trigger. Thumb safety, not all of them... SOME form of safety, yes.
  18. No, 45 is large frame. 9mm & 40 use the same frame size. All you do is bitch about CZ's and how the world isn't fair. Why do you even bother posting? Is it because you just like being negative? Your world is so terrible you must spread your vitriol?
  19. No problem. I shoot 1 match per month, already shot in June unfortunately. The match was posted by Joseph, I just found it again by searching Area 59. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. It may be on Facebook. But more than likely you haven’t shot these. For better or worse, they typically pull out some really esoteric classifiers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Dang it, I mean't we are NOT a vast... idgit. I agree with you wholeheartedly, but don't forget that marketing these companies employ. ?
  22. In theory, it can cause malfunctions. It would be possible to miss the reload & have the slide close or in a "dynamic" situation, whack the gun causing the slide to auto-forward. Don't forget competition guys are a VAST minority of gun owners.
  23. Home depot or Lowe's have them in Grey if you don't want the fancy colors
  24. Glad it has been helpful and thank you. I still have a long way to go, but getting better each day.
