  1. Eric, I went ahead and ordered te 5 spring kit and 3 steel weights based on your input the other day. I see you say you're shooting 147's at about a 134pf, care to share your load data? nick
  2. So far so good, I ordered last night and I got a shipping confirmation this afternoon :-)
  3. Was that your Aero 15" posted in the classified? LOL
  4. I couldn't resist the low price of the matrix. I ordered the AR15-15ML AR Platform 15" M LOCK Hand Guard 1 $59.00 I went ahead and also grabbed a stripped upper receiver without a forward assist for $49. Thanks flatland shooter!
  5. Wow, what's the catch here? That 15" m-lock matrix is 9.5oz including the hardware, it looks good, and it's only $59!? Gotta be a catch
  6. I saw that. I may may have found a winner with Midwest Indistries if I go 15". MI-LWM15G3 and it's selling at Buds for $150.00. Surprisingly it weighs under 10oz including the hardware. edit** it's 9.3oz total!
  7. I'm having a hard time deciding what to get. My ATi came with a 10" and it's just to short. I'm 6'2 and I need longer. But how long??? This gun will be used 95% for PCC uspsa matches and possibly 3gun. It has a 16" barrel with a 2.5" muzzle brake. Any suggestions for length and brand? Also I'd like to stay $200 or less. Unfortunately none of the local gun shops have anything other than magpul in stock so I can't fondle anything in person, I'm limited to what I see on the web.
  8. Thanks. I kind of figured that but wanted to verify.
  9. Looking at options for lightweight stocks for my 9mm ATi PCC and I've come across some that say they have .5" RP. I'm sure this is something obvious, but I don't know what it is. Thanks!
  10. Eric, sorry for bringing up such an old post, but I'm curious where you've landed with your silent setup? I just got my gen 2 scs in today and am curious to learn from others. My gun is ATi milsport, 16" barrel, 3lb trigger and as of now a bone stock jpSCS with 3 tungsten/1 steel weight and the red spring. I will be shooting 147gr bayou bullets (but have yet to try any loads). From reading various posts here I'm thinking 3.0gr n320 and OAL of 1.085 should be a good starting point to achieve 130ish. Amyway, where you at with buffer configuration?
  11. Hey jason, I got a taste of what you were going through last Saturday. I had so much going on in my head (work, vacation, wife threatening my life if i was late) plus the heat was brutal, I had virtually no sleep the night before, and I'm suffering either a pulled or strained muscle in my upper back. I should have opted out of the match, but I went anyway and I had an aweful showing to say the least. Felt like I couldn't do anything right. Usually I can turn the outside world off as soon as I get to the range, but Saturday I was overwhelmed. Anyway, just thought I'd let you know you're not alone, but im glad to hear your head game is improving! Shooting Hattiesburg this month?
  12. Looks like 5.1 wil be your magic number of you stick with 1.19. I just got back from vacation but I plan to have a similar set for testing thanks to the suggestions by you and others. And I will also set a target out down range and fire an additional 3-5 shots of each for accuracy. I think I'll have a long day ahead of me, but will be time well spent dialing in what I need.
  13. Being that I also have an R1 I am curious to know what bullets you're using and what you've determined your OAL will be for those bullets?
  14. I've searched a bunch and think I have a recipe, but would like some feedback. I'm using a 5" KKM bull barrell, precision delta 180gr jacketed / lead bottom bullets, n320 powder, cci primers, and mixed brass. I want to build up some loads and see what works best on chrono for 170pf +/- 2. From what I've gathered I think these are my starting plans: 5.1gr and OAL 1.175 5.1gr and OAL 1.180 5.2gr and OAL 1.185 5.2gr and OAL 1.190 Should I add some other variations to this, including loading longer and or more powder? I live an hour from the range and want to make the most of my time. Any suggestions are welcomed.
  15. Tuff break. However, if you had fun and learned something then everything else is a wash!!
  16. Also, next time I'm going to let you shoot my limcat, it may change your mind on 40. The dam gun does all the work and I just hang on for the ride. I offer that because it may be worth a thought to step into a custom flatter shooting gun.
  17. I was just telling my dad last night that I plan on going to the range to practice the star, plates, and weak hand shooting. Let me know when your back in town and maybe we can have a practice day or two. Safe travels
  18. I'm with you, I do t get nervous as mush as I get excited! Sure they have similar effects, but not quite. Maybe just tell yourself "this buzzer is why I'm here and switch from worry to anticipation". Think of it Like you just hit a $200 scratch off lottery ticket and your standing in line to collect. You're not worried about collecting and having all that extra money you just won, but I guarantee you'll be excited about all the extra ammo you're about to be able to buy!!
  19. Update, Glenn lead me to his Facebook page where I was able to see images of his safeties. And I found a couple videos on YouTube. Looks like a winner!
  20. I'm in the same boat. I think only practice can sort the issue
  21. Looks good from here. I too am brand new and I think I'm going to ask guys in my squad to video me shooting so I can see where improvements are needed, and maybe to share amongst you guys for critiquing
  22. Welcome. Love sight trackers!
  23. Then it sounds like I can save a few pennies and simply purchase 45's with the line ring. Makes sense on the .40's because I know with my limcat I have to load at 1.175 for the gun to run properly and that would put the lube ring dangerously close to or maybe even in the crimp.
  24. I didn't know this! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to bug my RO's this Saturday
