  1. Took my rig to the range Friday and match in Saturday. Using 130pf ammo and the jpscs with 90% spring, 3 SS & 1 tungsten weights. The bullets are 147 flat nose bayou bullets. The gun ran flawlessly and the dot movement is minimal. Practing double taps at 35' I am able to keep them well within the A! I'm pretty happy with it now. I still plan to work on the barrell extension like Max showed. And I'm going to change from N320 and work up a load with a slower burning powder and see what else I can do. Any suggestions on slow burning powder?
  2. Well I'll B, no wonder he knows his $hit. I think 3 things about that video. 1. I feel bad for some of those RO's trying to keep up. 2. I think that video is playing on 2x speed ? 3. That barrel has zero flip!! Very awesome Max!
  3. Max, you certainly seem to know your stuff and I appreciate this thread being hijacked in the manner that it has! So to clarify something, after you essentially created a feed ramp with your dremel tool did you still have problems using the flat nosed 147's? I know you say a round nose would be more reliable (and now I know why) but I have several hundred 147's and I'm now somewhat hesitant to use them as I plan on shooting my ATi milspec in my very first pcc match this weekend.
  4. I have it in my ATi milsport and it works perfectly. Almost too good to be true
  5. I bought the extra weights and spring kit direct from jp. They don't send any additional parts with the buffer.
  6. Yes, I have the green 90% spring installed but you have to buy it as the kit that comes with all 5. I also have 3 stainless steel weights and 1 tungsten as opposed to the 3 tungsten and one stainless steel (stock form). When I get back to the range with my 130pf ammo I'm going to try the black and also the yellow for shits and giggles.
  7. https://www.deltateamtactical.com/Ar-15M4-3-lb-Drop-In-Ultra-Match-Skeletonized-Performance-Trigger-System--Crimson-Red-_p_5180.html i bought this because a buddy had one and was telling me how good it performed for him. I am amazed by this trigger! Mine actually pulls crisply at 2.75lbs and does everything right. I think I'm going to get one for each AR I own! They also have the same system with a curved trigger as well.
  8. I ran my pcc for the first time today with the jp scs setup exactly as Eric's and I really like it. I was able to hit double taps within 2" groups at 40' many times over and over using 147gr bayou bullets loaded to 138pf. With the buffer in the stock form I couldn't get the doubles within 3 or probably even 4" at only 20' away. I'm anxious to see what I can do with my 130pf ammo (I didn't have it with me, I grabbed the wrong box) Btw, Eric, thanks for all your tips and suggestions thus far. I think I'm ready for a match!
  9. Finally able to shoot this afternoon and test things out. So far so good as the system works great and The handguard feels good in my hands and didn't come loose after 100 rounds or so. Range report forthcoming
  10. So I got the 15" matrix along with an eBay comp installed and they both look and feel solid. Hopefully I'll hit the range in the next couple off days to see how they feel along with my jpscs spring with reduced weight spring and 3 SS weights and powder puff loads. Range report forthcoming
  11. Eric, this may be splitting hairs, but do you have a preference on where the 1 tungsten weight falls amongst the 3 SS weights? I'm sure it doesn't make a shits difference, but curious if you have an opinion on that?
  12. I got my SS weights and springs in so now it's time to test and tune.
  13. True on the Dillon, and the brass was mixed, but it was once fired and ultrasonic cleaned and no military
  14. 9mm 147 bayou bullets 1.130 oal mixed brass cci primers n320 2.8/2.9/3.0 16" barrel Ati milsport so today the 3 loads were tested. Prior to changing each powder level the loader was cycled several times than the grains measured 3x for accuracy. 2.8 of n320 ran a pf averaged to 130.6 2.9 of n320 ran a pf of 137 heres where things get weird... 3.0 of n320 ran a pf of 137.8 and with all rounds the brass is wicked dirty afterwards
  15. Update. Loaded 147 bayou bullets 3.0 n320 1.125 OAL my setup is using the 9mm JPSCS II as is with no midofication. the loads worked, but my dot movement was more with my reloads that they were with factory blazer 115 ammo. I shout about 50 of each and would even put 5 & 5 in the same mag to see if I was hallucinating, but the factory moved less. To get even stranger, the factory had more felt shoulder recoil, but the 147's made the gun bounce more. Thoughts?
  16. Problem I'm having now is removing the old barrel nut. I'm not sure what te secret is, but I'm going to try applying heat next to see if that will break it loose
  17. Good looking weapon! My matrix showed up today and I'm beside myself at how well built an light it is for the price. meanwhike, I actually put a seekins in my hand today and I really liked the feel of it with that flat bottom. If I build another it is forst on my list.
  18. thanks. As of right now all if have is N320 and HP38 to play around with. I figured I'd start with 3.0 grains and loaded out to 1.100 and then see what happens on the chronograph and shoulder-graph lol
