  1. In my experience, the U-die doesn't size low enough on the case to remove all of the Glock bulge. Since Glock barrels are unsupported on the feed ramp side, the bulge tends to be greater on one side of the case, which causes the case to be canted in the chamber. I think this cant, combined with the oversized moly bullets is causing your problems. I run a Redding G-RX die and it has fixed all of my feed problems. I don't ever case gauge anymore.
  2. Nope. I use a 155 gn Berry's over 4 grains of Clays. Makes 139 PF out of my 5" STI. A great recipe for for 9mm is 147s over Clays.
  3. A warning on the Fiocchi slugs. They are longer then an average 2 3/4" shell. In my stock FN SLP, this causes two problems. First is that you can only get 7 in the tube and they fit TIGHT in strippers. The second is that I get the occasional jam where the the shell is caught at bottom lip of the chamber. As this has only happened with these slugs, I can only guesstimate that it is a combination of the low recoil and added length not allowing the lifter enough time to come up before the bolt starts to close.
  4. This article from Accurateshooter.com says that the kernel size is the same as Reloader-15, which has a shorter cut then Varget. I haven't had any problems with RE-15 through my Dillon.
  5. Magpul MOE with a 1" strip of bicycle innertube around the middle.
  6. +1 I have this barrel on my main 3-gun rifle, shoots great, but it's a tad on the heavy side.
  7. +1 This is what I do, works great!
  8. 2011 5" 180 gr MG CMJ - Just what I currently have, prefer jacketed 4.6 gr Clays Mixed Brass Win SPP 1.195 OAL
  9. I started with the 550 and still use it. Great machine. But if I could do it over again, I would get the 650.
  10. Here are a couple of links to help verify correct tube and stock: http://cdn.magpul.com/downloads/Receiver_Extension_Comparison.pdf http://www.uscav.com/prodinfo/pdfs/BufferTube.pdf
  11. Yes, you have to lube before sending them through the GRx, but then they are already lubed for your 650. I dump a couple of handfuls into a mixing bowl and spray them with lube, then shake them around. One Shot works OK, but I have found that the Dillon lube reduces the effort required at the handle.
  12. You have reached the point were the charge is no longer sufficient to seal the case against the chamber. Combined with the fact that TG is dirty, gives you the results you are seeing.
  13. I ordered a 1000 cases right after the initial post went up. It is all marked LC 10. Looks like a popular deal that Midway wanted to keep going after they ran out of LC.
  14. You can get one from Brownells. It is a winchester part, but they are the same. Winchester Lifter at Brownells
  15. I have been dying to see the same comparison, but with as new as the SWFA is, we might be waiting awhile longer. I would really like to see a giant compairison of all of the new 1-4x scopes, Burris TAC-30, Vortex, SWFA. If anyone wants to send me one of each, I'll gladly write something up!
  16. Nordic extensions come with a verrryyyy long spring that you then cut to the appropriate length.
  17. The conventional wisdom is to leave 12" of spring past the end of the tube.
  18. I have a 13" TRX that partially covers a Vltor clamp-on style gas block. There was very little clearance between the inside of the handguard and the screw heads. I was able to flex the handguard enough that they would almost touch. I had to ground down the heads of the hex screws a little to get some more clearance.
  19. I stopped using the FCD when loading plated bullets because I was having the same problem with tumbling as well. Went back to using a regular crimp die.
  20. 00bullit, How did you lighten your pull to 2#s? Bend the trigger spring legs?
  21. For anyone that has used both the steel and carbide versions of the Redding GRx, is there a noticeable difference in the effort required? Is it worth the upgrade if you already have the steel version?
  22. I tried cutting off the prongs as well. No more thumb getting caught, but now I have started getting the same jam as DocMedic. The front of the shells are not coming up far enough and are catching on the area between the barrel and mag tube. Time to weld the lifter.
