Good afternoon all,
I am new to reloading and am having a problem with bullet tumbling. I am loading a 40S&W berry's 180grn Rn nose bullet using 5.0 gns of bullseye powder at a COL of 1.125. The round appears to work well in my M&P 40 pro except for tumbling problem. I am using a Lee turret press and the lee 4 die set with the factory crimp die. I was discussing the problem with fellow at the match this morning and he felt the problem was the round was probably over crimped and that the use of the 4 die was unnecessary. So I will put the question to you folks, is the factory crimp die necessary to use in 40S&W? thanks for your help in advance.
