  4. how so? Not all houses are trailers. Nor are walls just dry wall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Ed Brown, also makes a good one. I have one on my limited gun. I have never had an issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I would look at the EGW extended slide stop. It is IMO the best one, especially for SL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It does have some applications in the real world... It does reinforce cover, accuracy, and sense of stress. But the half of a half bs doesn't work. I agree that retreating, nor that archaic idea that dropping rounds is bad. That is silly and tactically wrong. I guarantee that will start all sorts of debate(I will gladly refute) but in reference to OP. These rules on top of rules, defended by a sense of tactics, that IMO are archaic and hurt the sport. 8. Dammit... Do they have duty gear exemption? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Different powders, bullets, and manufacturing will all play a part in accuracy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. You had me at "no cover calls"!!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I started in IDPA... At first I was very anti-USPSA. It seemed guys were spraying and praying. After a couple of months, I started to see the value of it. I learned a lot about being more efficient with movement, it is a task needed in all shooting, even in IDPA... I love shooting both for different aspects. I also hate certain aspects of both. I would like to see this PASS league. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Bwahahaha! It's reverse for USPSA shooters. If you're feeling down about your shooting, go to an IDPA match I shot my first IDPA match last month, but it felt good placing well even though I'm only a B class in USPSA. (I'm not bashing IDPA, or the shooters [even though they're weird lol] - I actually had a lot of fun.)That's not bashing... It is very trueSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I do like IDPA, and I do believe in having established rules. However, it how the rules overshadow/ micromanage the sport itself, I find fault with. I do have issue how we use the rules to Handicap shooters, advancements, and ultimately the growth of the sport. I do have an issue how the rule have created a culture of "over eager hall monitors", just looking for a reason to FTDR someone. That being said, I love shooting, I love competing, and I love that it does offer a tactical component. It must evolve, it cannot rely on that's the way we've always done it approach. 15. Confused??? If the OP was looking for ideas, wouldn't that suggest he wants opinions? And figuring that people, if they like their gun would in the end offer it up. As for validation, I don't think anyone is really needing anyone to validate their firearm. I would venture to say that no one here is going to cash in the farm because their choice was not picked. Stay Classy San Diego!!!
  16. They are SVI (Infinity) springs. I guess all the SVI owners have guns with poor springs? I prefer them for light trigger pulls, 1 1/2 and below. YMMV. People that don't like them usually don't install them correctly, they're not drop in. Their one fault is the ball occasionally falls out of the tri-glide sear spring, but it works fine without it. YMMV Out curiosity, why are they not drop in... What needs to be done to them to make them run right?
  17. Before you change the connector. You need a heavier firing pin spring. I imagine if changed the connector, he replaced springs too. I had an issue with a Zev firing pin spring that would cause it to burst fire. I later figured out that spring wasn't allowing the firing pin to catch the drop safety. If you get an OEM one, you should see it stop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I think is going to be dependent on the gun too... Glocks you have that lip of the frame to press down with the thumb, a poor mans *thumb rest [generic]*. The 2011's you don't, and can't. I can't speak in great detail on the M&P. I will say running to the range and trying it once isn't necessarily the proof positive either. When you worked out the new car smell, and are still going strong after a couple 1,000 rounds, with the same or better results then you're on to something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I am right handed, but am cursed with the Devil's eye. I am forced shoot from the left side, but I agree with everything that the OP said only backwards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. It goes to shooter solution... What works for him, doesn't necessarily mean it will for you or me; However, McNamara has earned enough of my respect to listen to what he has to say and possibly try give it a try, under the right conditions.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It has something to do with Rosie Palm (if you get the drift) His term is military slang, common with in the combat arms community.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Though I agree that DOH do in part help grip strength, I disagree the end all be all claim. The mechanics involved in the grip are different, in DOL; the mechanical advantage is only in the contraction of hand and fingers, minus the thumb. The thumb and heel plays no part in the lift. Whereas in shooting you are using the fingers and the counter force of heel of hand and thumb. That being said I don't think the COC is the perfect answer either. Again you lose efficiency and effort of the index and middle fingers with those type of devices. However, it is convenient. In the end anything is better than nothing, but it is silly to think that there is a one stop solution to total grip strength. Pat McNamara and his Combat Strength Training site has some exercises. 23. The Noveske NSR is a good choice. It is very slim, and has good angles for shooting on and around barricades. I would also look a Midwest industry options. They are usually very affordable and good quality. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Where does Carry Optic fall in, now? I saw some one shooting at the last match, but I know knowing about it.
  25. I would say the Oakley Tombstones are good glasses. I really like the Prizm lenses. I can say they relieve a lot of eye strain, I have experienced with other glasses.
