I don't think the BODs want to add another division. Revolver as it is having low participation. I'm not sure if adding optics would grow the division but it would certainly increase the longevity of the shooters that currently compete in the division

Open Guns are like anything else, the more you beat on them the more maintenance they require. Field strip and clean every 1K rounds, recoil spring every 2k and change parts as required by infinitys maintenance protocols and it'll run forever.

I wouldn't even say it was an optic friendly match. I would agree with someone calling it the "Mini Popper Nationals"

My opinion is leave it alone. If you want to run matches that's great. When you start adding a classification system now someone needs to organize a system for it. That costs money. If this thing gets as big as USPSA someone needs to be at the head of the table and I'm almost certain that that person will want to be compensated for their time and now were just circling back to the whole USPSA drama.

When I shot 9major I would case gauge everything. If it didn't drop out clean out of the hundo it was put off to the side, but once I started getting Spear once fired brass I just made sure I had a good tight die and didn't case gauge after that. never had any issues.

I won a calibration call on stage 9 on the right activator. I then watched someone on the squad behind me shooting open unload almost two magazines on the left side activator before it went down.

This. I run a 12.5 ismi spring with a GGI fat rod @ 135 power factor and the dot tracks great and it returns to zero everytime.

The trubor is a great gun! I had a racker installed on mine too. Shot mine for around two years until I figure out the open game, then ordered a custom gun.

You could also find something lightly used for a little cheaper.

I made to switch from 9major to 38sc after 3 years. I find 38sc to shoot a lot softer then my 9. I was worried about picking up my brass but it seems pretty easy. I shoot with two or three other guys that shoot 38sc so brassing for each other is no problem.

Talked to Phil Strader on Instagram. He's not saying much in the way of the new Romeo2 optic. There will be a new Romeo1 optic coming called the Romeo1PRO soon that has a more robust machined housing and a compatible footprint. Not sure what that means. Also I think I saw somewhere that Max's new optic will be released somewhere around the NRA Convention.

I ordered mine November 17th 2017 and just received mine yesterday. Not to bad of a turn around. I was figuring late January or middle February.
