  1. I began with some 124 gr montana gold, no issues what so ever, precision deltas are cheaper but not a huge fan, only based on looks, dumb I know. Reading of the forum I bought a case of 124 gr jhp v2 everglades. Only lasted and shot a couple hundred but can say I am completely satisfied. Look like a mg just not as much gold (zinc) in color, bought in bulk they were 9.2 cents each compared to 9.7 for mg and 8.9 for pd.
  2. I believe that may be the reason as well, but when sbr'd it would be perfectly legal.
  3. Have a pistol scorpion with the kak tube and the shock wave. Was wondering if there is a ar style stock that goes over the kak tube. I noticed it's a bigger od then a standard stock. Maybe it's necessary to modify a regular one. Thanks for any info.
  4. I user a124 hp with 10.5 grains of aa#7 trubor comp with three popple holes in barrel, pre holes was 10.3 gr. Originally was 7.6 grains of autocomp same bullet weight. Oal of 1.235
  5. Just made this swap from slide ride to romeo 3 with brazos mount, little to no hold over for the close shot and easier to get to the racker when needed. I dry fired it a few days prior to match and never even had to catch myself remembering the new better setup. Ire was a smooth transition
  6. 38 super/ sc trubor for me I've loaded 7.6 gr of auto comp, then moved to aa#7 @10.3 gr then added three popple holes and loaded up to 10.5 gr #7 for a avg of 1411 fps. App shooting a124 gr jacketed hp loaded at 1.235,shots soft and dot tracks nicely
  7. Read the other day about the version 2 of the everglades bullets, when purchased in bulk they supposedly awesome bullets and a fair price. Also try aa#7 for a great gassy powder for a better price point then vv powder. Cyrene load for me with my super is 10.5 gr @1.235 oal with a124 hp
  8. I went from the slide ride to the romeo 3,clear glass bright crisp 3moa dot auto on function, but not saying the dpp isn't a great dot
  9. What was the timer saying, was your times truly faster or was the gun just lighter? Loving my evo grip, friend had same setup with plastic side by side I am loving the steel.
  10. I to was waiting and on the list, but ended up buying a brazos slip stream mount, and couldn't wait due to upcoming matches, am totally happy with this setup so far with limited amount of rounds, match this weekend coming, and with sight in and getting my wife some trigger time the glass was clean, so my want of a blast shield was unwarranted.
  11. +1 on the evo for sure, we'll made with all the right changes. Paired with a mini dot I am loving this setup
  12. The dpplooks good but I settled on the romeo 3 and an excited to give it a go, Atlas mount for the romeo, should be great plus the warranty

    Romeo 3 mount

Could you post a pic? How do you like the romeo compared to others?

    Romeo 3 mount

I run the brazos, cause it is the sexiest of them all and I didn't give a f*** about a blast shield. (I dig the arredondo but saw a few people have broken their mounts.) Do you have popple holes, if so does your glass start clean without a shield?
  15. No issues with mine either, but it was purchased lightly used perfectly tuned

    Romeo 3 mount

The bolt pattern is the same but the romeo has a extended front housing piece that sounds like runs into most blast shields
  17. Read through the old topics found nothing concrete, who or what makes a mount for the romeo 3,or do they all need some tinkering with removing material? Which is more preferred on the open gun the 1 or the 3? The mount on ebay looks like it has plenty of room in the front for the extended housing but not sure. Need a blast shield on mount due to popple holes
  18. I have a lot of autocomp and cfe pistol, but identical, but am currently using aa#7 with about 10.4 gr this load seems more gassy and softer recoil, but auto comp was a good clean powder and have nothing against it, but am liking#7 better, ac is a clean burning powder and alot of shooters use it. I have found primers and proper bullet crimp are more important for reliability.
  19. If I am reading correctly on the tool less setup it would not work with a trubor?
  20. As said above no plated go jacketed either montana gold or precision delta, my load for auto comp in 38 super/sc was 7.6 gr at 1.235 oal
  21. This is the one we went with https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Shooters-Connection-Sidewinder-Slide-Racker-Finished-P544.aspx Cut the dovetail at 70 thousands deep if I recall, I will post pic
  22. Local guy did mine and a friends just bought the racker on shooters connection and said go for it
  23. Shoot about a100 rounds tonight, and side by side with a trubor without the evo grip and popple holes, definitely a noticeable difference in felt recoil and flatness,in a nut shell not a single regret with this setup
  24. I shot part of a match with the holes, bit enough to get a real feel, but will go do some live fire practice tomorrow, and match this weekend, should be able to know by then plus shoot it side by side with a stock trubor. The re profile if the barrel was on my acr took from a heavy bull down to a mediumish profile to cut some up front weight.
  25. That's my thoughts, a gun can be pretty darn flat, but I would venture to say most if not all dots leave the glass, but maybe the eyes are not fast enough to catch it. I think the dot returning to a expected place is more percievable and realistic. Although I agree about grip. I tell my self at lamr, grip the gun, but seems like at the buzzer I am not sure I have the death grip I use in dry fire. I have read that your support hand should be a little fatigued at the end of a stage due to grip, I am euther really tuff (not likely) or not griping tight enough.
