Some will say it's okay to shoot 9 major out of your 38 super, with a possible risk of breech face erosion, or other damage, some say it does not hurt anything. Commit to getting into reloading if you are set on playing in open, it's part of the fun as well.

I love my trubor in 38, no complaints, I have a evo grip on order, and am contemplating a couple popple holes, but I like the gun, good fun for the money in open. Mine was purchased used from forum member, and has only had operator issues, gun runs like a top.

Would you guys suppose that 2 holes would do good in my trubor 38? Really looking for some feed back, once drilled no going back.

I will post up when I get it on, I have been flirting with the 2 popple hole, just not wholly committed yet, never fired a gun with either, none around here with either setup. I just know once I drill there is no going back, where the grip is a easy change and sell, although I think I will love it. Tell me more about how well 5y like the popple holes. Would you keep them or change them. What is your current load. I am currently 124 mg hp with 10.3 a7. Also I am 38 super where you look to be 9mm

18 yds for me, find what works best at the club you shoot at zero there and know where you have to hold for the closet and longer shots.

Also is your dvc 9 or 38 super? my 38 super WAC load is 7.6 gr.

Not a expert by any means but I would think the real advantage to open is the dot and the comp, less gas works your comp less, so in theory your gun tuned correctly will be flatter. plus coming from limited minor, major scoring was a huge difference maker

I am currently running 10.3 of aa7 I have loaded autocomp aND cfe pistol but am liking the aa7 but I am shooting 124 bullets, have not tried anything but 124 in my gun

I know brazos has the thunder comp which is a trubor t2 comp with some holes drilled at 3 and 9,as well as some more material out of chambers in the other sections, would like some actual feed back from those who have shot both, is there a noticeable difference, could some on drill holes in standard trubor comp and is it worth it and accomplish the wanted results?
