  1. I have used THE accessories and the glockmeister extended mag release, one on either of my two glocks, and I like them both. They have the tear drop shape that extends back towards the rear of the gun instead of just sticking straight out more. I have had no problems with either of them. The piece that is in the gun is polymer with a metal button that is screwed into the polymer piece with two screws.
  2. sorry double posted
  3. Yeah short of any obvious wear/damage that would be catastrophic, that is a deal.
  4. What will be the price Pat? I have been waiting for these for awhile. A self proclaimed "Glocksmith" I like the ability to finally have another source of a lower receiver besides glock since they won't sell you one. If this pans out to be problem free, unlike the CCF, this will be great. For replacement, tricking out, etc. Do your own stipple job, grind off the finger grooves, etc, etc. Any estimate on shipping dates? Can you buy it stripped out and put your own guts in it like an AR lower or will they only be complete lowers?

    New Glock tool!

Maybe as an armorer for a PD I have just taken to many apart in my time but I have never had an issue taking the base plate on and off. And as for my mags with extensions on them for limited, Arredondo is nice enough to include a nice tool for theirs so either way I guess I just don't see much need for this thing.
  6. Look at Benny's site, its on there Otto gear
  7. IF your going with irons id say at least an 18, and I shoot a 20 with the front sight mounted out at the comp for the longest sight radius possible. It helps, trust me. Not to many of us iron shooters out there. As for overall length, I run a chopped buttstock to cut that down. And Ken above has a great point, I would go 1 in 8 twist so you can run various weights consistently from 55 to higher.
  8. Have the same magwell and after trying Dawson and Arredondo, I prefer the Arredondo ones. If you want a flush fit to the magwell I know someone makes one but I can't remember who.

    New 35

Bladetech DOH, Dawson fiber front, target rear, 25 cent trigger job, Dawson Ice Magwell, tru grip, Arredondo base pads and you are ready for anything limited class can throw at you. Welcome to USPSA, beware, its addictive. There are a billion other glock mods that are shooter specific but you will find out what you want and like later on but those are the basics really for limited.

    Tru Grip USA?

Yeah I was hoping not to spend more money, I am already $30 + in the hole. and I need them in G19.

    Tru Grip USA?

Thanks, but that is where I do all my shopping. That is where I also made the order, paid for it, sent emails to, etc..... So that is where it stands.

    Tru Grip USA?

I wasn't sure where to put this but Eric made his claim to fame with glock grip tape. I noticed his dealer forum is gone and I ordered some grip tape from him 3 weeks ago. Sent an email and haven't gotten a response. Having ordered several sets of grips from him before I know this is not the norm, he has always been a stand up guy with outstanding customer service. Can anyone help?
  13. From my understanding it only comes with one length of mag spring, built for two 30 rounders, I assume with some trial an error you could have various setups by trimming the spring they give you, but you would have to buy several.
  14. +1 on the 17lb spring, that is what I use on my duty G21, with a SS guide rod. 3.5 LWD disconnect, polished internals, and a set of tru glo TFO's. Don't think it will keep up with the light shooting G34's, but good practice for work.
  15. I like my mag pouch from the wilderness, easy on and off, but stiff enough to hold onto the mag, and doesn't dig into you if you lay on it. Wilderness Tactical Products
  16. That's weird because Glock had fixed the light problems previously with the addition of the 11 coil recoil spring. When my old department went to weapon mounted lights, on G22's, with the 10 coil springs we had lots of malfunctions. Went to the 11 coil springs, and problem fixed.
  17. I have used Eric's rings and they are great and cheap. Usually buy rings when I get a new gun and want some more of his grip tape.
  18. Anyone tried one of these yet? Rat Grips I know there are plenty of gear junkies out there testing the latest and greatest things. Heard this was a new one at the SHOT show. Would be interested to see if anyone has tried it. Looks interesting for an AR grip.
  19. How is the mag release different? Wider? Bigger? To answer your question lawdog, yes. It is taller and wider. A lot bigger hole in the frame to fit it in flush. It doesn't come out from the frame to much though.
  20. Hey thanks, nope going back this week, just had a month off. No addition to the beavertail either.
  21. merged threads (and tweaked the title to make it more apparent that this is the 4th gen thread) - Mod Squad. Well...... Just got back in country and took my Glock recertification for armorer. Up for us to man handle was the new 4th Gen Glock they are going to unveil at SHOT. It has three different grips, smaller than standard, standard, and Slim Frame size. This will be in the G22 only for now. It has a different texture than the RTF. It will also have a new recoil spring and rod. Also a big button mag release that is able to be swapped around if desired, instead of the ambi like on some of the Slim Frames. Thats about it, I have to say I wasn't real impressed but I think they are trying to grab some market by doing the grips and such. The big thing for me as an armorer is that parts compatibility will be almost zero with other models. Instead of 60 to 75% in the old ones. The price will also be more that the other models. Overall a C+ rating from me, whatever that is worth.
  22. Mine was the do it yourself answer, the gunsmith job is always the best way to go but having done it both ways I see no benefit between the two on how the comp works but the gunsmithed way looks better, can't argue that.
  23. crush or peel, either will work. I like the crush cause they are idiot proof. I don't like having to peel the layers away to get the right fit. JMHO. I think alot of folks use the peel from previous posts.
