  1. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery, until that time, here you will find a very supportive group of addicts.
  2. That isn't entirely true. We do not pre-register for the matches (other than 30 min before we start) and use the palms. It works fine. The person doing all the palm transfer(s) of data is busy in that 30 min, however, the benefit of the scores being posted 10 min after the last shot is fired is worth it. We are a small club with 20-25 per match, and it has saved us HOURS of time. Well worth it.
  3. So sorry, take stock in the joys that he brought you and your family.
  4. We shoot for pushups. Non A hits are 1, misses are 10 and NS hits are 20. We might not shoot any better come summer, but some of us will be racked!
  5. So there is a use for a Glock, who knew? jk Ouch... just ouch..
  6. Wayne, Your comp isn't loud enough if you can still hear your spring in the stock. Time to upgrade.
  7. Here is a better idea. If the round hits the ground or ejects out of your gun, leave it. At a monthly match you are talking about what.. 5-6 rounds? Leave em. I would have hated to see you pick up one of the major 9mm rounds thinking it was yours.
  8. +1 Buy the books and work the pages.
  9. Ok, there are a ton of boxes that can be connected to a PC that have a dedicated box with all the camera connected to them. The PC can control the box, set trigger points, send emails, etc. YOU can spend $300 or $30,000, it all depends what you want to throw funds at. We had an issue at our local club, this is what we went with. camera Cheap,($300ish) 4 cameras (two wide angle, two standard) DVR, ability to set sensitivity per camera, IR illumination for dark recording, viewable via the internet and works great. There are other units that have 8 cameras connected instead of 4, as well as better/smaller cameras (wired or wireless) This unit can be connected to and monitored/controlled over the internet with a web browser and viewed on the Android and iphone. (A bonus) Having the built in DVR is nice.. some of the models associated with this one can burn to DVD as well for archiving. The DVR allows us to watch the weeks activities on the ranges on Friday when the Execs are there. All the triggered recordings are date/time stamped. You can label each camera, set the sensitivity and the recording zones per cam, export to thumb drive / USB drive. Some may bash the brand, etc etc etc.. However, we have not had any issues and amazingly, the issues at the range have seemed to go away as well... hummm.. who would have thunk it?
  10. online.. Collecting paper apps and mailing them all together is so 1990's..
  11. Hey all, I need to find a FFL in the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre, PA area. Anyone have one to recommend? If they are not a dealer here on the forum, please send me a PM with the details. Thanks!

    Snow!

I will go truckload for truckload - snow for sand. Just give me an address.
  14. Hey pick me up a can of Soviet Red for mine!
  15. Been there, done that. Mine was to the point of not being able to grip a can of (*insert favorite beverage here*) and hold it out straight in front of me. There are a ton of threads on this subject here on the forum. Rest, ice, compression and time off are the best solution for long term care, I know... not what you want to hear. It does not heal fast. Most of the threads here talk about this as an inflammation injury,(I am not a medical professional) where things are swollen from over training and rubbing where they should not be. I did ice massage every night for several months as well as limiting use as much as possible to get to the point where I could shoot again, but it still hurt. A Cortisone injection will make you feel like you can lift a car off the ground almost immediately, since you are used to so much pain by the time you get one. See your Doc, or a decent Athletic Trainer / Physical Therapist who is good with sports injuries. They can set you straight.
  16. Got the apps and fees in. Planning on a whirlwind weekend. Hitting the road Thursday PSA Shootout on Friday for some pistol and Saiga action, followed by the NY Rifle match on Saturday. Drive home Sunday. 3 matches, 1,234 miles.
  17. Started the registration at 9:01 PM for Open, finished at 9:03 PM. Not bad for standing on the side of the road, in the dark, in -4 degree weather to register on my iPhone. (Don't ask..) Registration "went" through, got the email and everything. Now just waiting on the acceptance of the registration. Fingers crossed.
  18. Match canceled due to cold... [my own comments deleted ] (Even though I did have an awesome time shooting with you all last summer, and look forward to doing it again)
  19. Newsflash.... "It's snowing!" By Thursday am.. another 18 - 24" on the ground, on top of the 36ish that is in the yard.
