  1. I can tell you from several years of experience in this forum and with CZ, you are the single only person I have ever heard say a bad thing about CZ Custom. Just sayin…for what it is worth. My guess it that when you find the problem you might consider pulling this post as it may be embarrassing to you in the future.

    CZ TSO barrel play

Pretty much every automatic pistol has significant play when the slide is locked back.
  3. Parrots don’t come with the extra barrel and are usually $100-200 more expensive but are the exact same pistol mechanically. I have a parrot because thats what was available when I got mine locally. If I had my choice of the two I would get a czechmate that included the extra $200+ barrel so I could throat it for 9mm major which have an OAL longer than regular 9mm. 9 major will not chamber in a 9mm czechmate barrel you need to have that done or buy a throat reamer and do it yourself.
  4. Look for a video how to fit a CZ Czechmate barrel. I know there is a video out there somewhere when I fitted mine. I bet they are fitted very similarly.
  5. I understand pretravel overtravel takeup etc….but as an American, I was not brought up using the metric standard of measurement….so it lost me. It is just a personal thing if I have to take out a calculator to figure out a judgment of measurement it really has to be really worth the effort since my daily life as an engineer is solely calculated in Inches or thousandths of inches I can’t quickly judge 2.5mm or 3.25mm. But know quickly that .250 is 1/4 inch and .500 is 1/2 inch etc…
  6. Lost me at “millimeters” of play.
  7. The CZ czeckmates come with a slide lock pin minus the slide lock lever...it is basically the same as just cutting off the lever. When using them it eliminates the ability to lock back on empty and you have rack the slide back if you happen to run dry and require a mag change (which any comp shooter should strive not to have happen). Also, pulling the slide back insted of using the slide lock is an optimal way of dropping the slide anyway...should you need to. In short, it is my opinion that, if this has happened many many times in matches cut the pin off from the lever run the gun that way....or find a compatible pin (probably a czechmate pin would work...but might be a little long).

  9. What about it “screams range bag” I have a tool bag that looks strikingly similar...and my computer bag from work looks more like a range bag than the DAA backpack. Someone would have to be hanging hang out with some very high end hoodlums for them think they would know that the DAA backpack is a range bag and think it “screams range bag”. Lol...BTW I fly with mine all the time for work and nobody looks at me weird and TSA never says a word...nor do I get scrutinized like I am screaming “I have a range bag at the airport”. So I would use that as a solid test that this DAA backpack is a solid range bag that does not look like a range bag....but we can always let the OP decide what he thinks of my suggestion I suppose.
  10. I imagine this will be a non-mandatory participation outdoor style match.....people in the high-risk, high-concern, and high-oppressive categories should consider their own wellbeing when choosing to register for any match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I think these bags by Double Alpha Academy are AWESOME. They are purpose build to be range backpacks and they even have a cart for them if you want one. I have the large one and the medium one. I prefer the large one because it holds more and things fit better in it. They deem to be a little pricey but they are EXTREMELY well made. DAA also has a bunch of other types and styles to chose from and all of top quality and durability. https://www.doublealpha.biz/us/ced-daa-rangepack-ipsc-backpack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. I really wonder if sometimes people don’t think it is part of a match to clean up afterwards. People don’t clean up after they pay for their meal at a restaurant so they think they don’t have to help clean up after they pay for a match....I remember when I first started 10+ years ago I would just pack up and go home. I felt bad for the 5 people that stayed to clean up so started to stay to help...and wondered why they started comping my next match fees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Smart move getting the narrow belt...it is much easier to find options with a narrow belt than for the wider 1.75”. I bought an expensive wide belt a long time ago and made it work for a long time...but I switched when got tired of finding things to work with it. I shot 3-gun and USPSA, sometimes in the same weekend, so I needed easy reconfiguration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. At the shooters meeting the MD should say “Shooting is optional, resetting is not. If you are not resetting you will be given one warning, the second time you will be asked to leave”....if the person leave and gets so butthurt that they don’t come back, so be it. They are hurting the majority by being lazy....I don’t care what class you are in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I will second this...I always thought that it would have been AWESOME to have a paid caddy/resetter when I was shooting 3-gun. During a 3 day match, not having to reset would have paid dividends when the scores came out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. How do you push the spring up from the hole in the bottom to remove the base pad if you remove it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Is it cheap to compete like it is with USPSA? [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. People that are there to just have fun want something off the prize table. People that are there to win don’t care about a prize table...but don’t want to give it away if it is there. Hence...do away with prize tables so match directors can focus their attention on producing a good match instead of wasting time kissing the south end of some sponsors. I think a lot of the shooting sports has been tainted by prize table as bait to get unmotivated shooters involved into shooting sport. The essence of competative shooting sport would be much more pure without a prize table...but I know I am just dreaming as the prize tables will never go away. But I can dream can’t I! I would be WAY more motivated to attend a match that had no prize table but did have paid resetters and free beer during the awards ceremony. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Isopropyl alcohol (ribbing alcohol) is a great degreaser for metallic parts. It will clean down to the pores of the metal...but be sure to oil your parts right afterwards or they will rust in short order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If anyone is going to a match for the trinkets on prize table, they need to recheck their motives for competing in the first place. If you ask me, I would love to see prize tables go away completely and just hand out trophies...if a trophy is not good enough when you win, again, you need to check your motives for competing in the first place. If you want people to show up at a major match, put out a quality match design consistently and I think the diehard shooters will come. If super squad types don’t show up because there is not a prize table, they will just be showing what motivates them. The best shooters I know are humble people that grab stuff off the prize table and hand the trinket to a kid shooter or have it auctioned for charity... Just my 2 cents... 24. If you could build this feature into a gun, and have it work reliably, you would have one hell of a sales feature and competition shooters would stand in line with their money to have the feature added to their gun...I know I would. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
