  1. I can’t wait to follow your experimentation on this. I have been wanting a used frame safety example with the Star of David as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What do like about that holster over the Double Alpha Alpha-x, Racemaster, or Racer-x? Just curious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. What a cool idea...thanks for sharing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I bet you could get away with modifying the slide release to clear the *thumb rest [generic]*...since slide release/pins are consumable items that break regularly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. In competition you don’t need the slide release because you should not ever run it dry unless it is your last shot in a stage....but if you are like me, this is not the norm. Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I bought one too for my Czechmate but did not like the angle so I just put it back in the bag. I just looked again and it looks like they were designed to be used with the non-slide lock pin. Nothing a little Dremel work would not fix if you wanted to use it with a slide lock/slide release. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Maybe little Danny Wesson Jr. can update daddy’s work’s website with non-outdated information. Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. To be clear on the websites...just so everyone knows the VERY LATEST release of information from CZ USA and Dan Wesson...their website says that due to Covid-19 their local authorities are requiring them to be closed until “at least April 23rd” :-). So there you have it...the latest and greatest on the front page of both Dan Wesson and CZ USA website. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My girlfriend wanted one as well...she too has moved on and spend the money she had allocated for it on a competitor company’s gun that was a tried and true design. A little information from CZ USA would have kept her hooked but once they responded dead silence, she turned her back on CZ entirely like they did to their followers/customers/potential customers. I still love my CZs but I am way too far in bed with them to turn my back on them...haha. I am chalking it up to major failures in the design of the few prototypes they did make and needed to do a major redesign...or scrapped the project entirely. Had it just been a Covid-19 shutdown, they would certainly have publicly scapegoated Covid as their reasoning behind the delay...like every other company has done...but this is pure speculation on my part. 10. That would be a very unique business strategy...propose a release of an item then listen to everyone talk about what they don’t like about it and what they do...then incorporate that into the design and release some shootable prototypes 3-4 years after the initial release. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. In my opinion from a business standpoint, releasing product news early is dangerous because it gets people excited for the latest and greatest. When the product is delayed the people that were baited by early news get tired of waiting and spend the money they had allocated on something else. Those same people go online and talk great things about the competitive product and badmouth the one that they really wanted “past tense”. I have often waited for items and then bought something else because I did not want to wait....then never did come up with the money to buy the one that I wanted before I bought my second preferred product The very unique issue that we have with the situation with the DWX is that CZ USA has been dead silent on absolutely everything about the release of it. This is (I am not one of them) making people really upset and driving down their brand loyalty in a HUGE way. The DWX is primarily a competition gun and competition shooters are the most vocal gun owners on line. CZ USA would be wise to stop the silence on this issue. To boot, it might also be a good idea, as an essential business in many other states, to look at production facilities in gun friendly states. Now would be the perfect time to do so because they can use the shutdown time to facilitate the move as it is not illegal to move during this time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. If you read a wealth of information regarding Brian Enos’ product “Slide Glide” there is some discussion in the matter of cleaning. A point that I took away is the fact that carbon is itself a lubricant. We have products like anti seize that are made from graphite which is carbon and is a lubricant. This being said, I still clean my firearms but not because if carbon buildup...mainly from dust, dirt, and brass shavings in the breach areas of all my guns. I have gone thousands of rounds in a Glock without cleaning but do clean my CZs more often because I love them and find that cleaning them is therapeutic for me....but is really not necessary. I have rarely had a failure that I would associate with a cleanliness issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Awesome fun project. I love when people jump in with both feet and share their love of home innovation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. From what I understand the S2 orange is built buy one gunsmith and hand fitted....This would lead me to believe that the fit of the S2 Orange is superior to the regular S2. I could be wrong about this but I am quite sure I read it here in forum from someone that kew what they are talking about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You are a man of character! I have had the immense discomfort of DQ tons of people and I hate doing it. I have been bless that I had to do to to people like you...
  16. But if I had done such a foolish thing, I would not argue the DQ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Why didn’t the shooter challenge the ruling to the RO and MD. They have to be able to site the violation for it to be a QD. If I was in violation of any rule I would always challenge it. I don’t know every tiny rule but the RO should know it if he is going to call you on it. Regardless everyone should be respectful to one another and overrule the ruling if no evidence of the violation can be found. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Very interesting. I can’t wait to see one first hand. When they stop the backorder I think people and clubs will jump on them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Necessity is the mother of invention. Nicely done! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The Vortex PST 1-4 with turrets was around $350 or less when I bought it for my girlfriend 5 years ago for 3-gun and still going strong with no issues. But it is certainly no Steiner, Khales, US Optics, or Steiner. I know that for sure. I bought it for the warrantee because I wanted to be able to beat the living tar out of it without fear that I would be flushing $$$ down the toilet if I dumped it too hard in the barrel. Not being smart at all but what would Steiner’s warrantee be if you sent back a heavily worn, scratched, (abused) and broken optic back for warrantee work. How long would the turn around be (ie. could you shoot a match the following weekend)? Would they charge you to fix it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. How much was your Steiner vs the mid-grade PST and Venom. Just curious. I just want to do a fair side by side cost, feature, and quality comparison between your Steiner and your PST and Venom. You can’t really buy a Volkswagen and think you are going to get a Corvette and then complain about the Volkswagen’s speed once you buy Corvette. I would venture a guess that 75% of all 3-gun shooters have vortex optics...because the high probability if dumping and breaking stuff is so high. Like I said....I broke the optic. It was my fault not that of Vortex. They replaced it anyway no questions asked. As long as they can get a serial number off of it they will replace it. It does not matter if it was run over by a tank...they will still replace it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Razor is a quality line of optic that Vortex makes. Razor does not make anything...so you can’t send anything back to Razor. You can send a Razor optic back to Vortex for repair...as with anything Vortex makes. Every optic company has some issue at some point...but see if you can get a 1 week turn around with them...like you can with Vortex. Once I had a 3-gun match and broke an optic in the match the previous weekend. Vortex shipped me a new one immediately before they even got the broken one from me. I had it in 3 days from the day I called them. I was able to shoot my 3-gun match the following weekend. Try finding that kind if service when you broke something and it was your fault. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. It is fun beating people that have the latest and greatest equipment...while I am using stuff that is ancient 3-gun stuff... I learned a long time ago that my equipment is seldom the primary factor that affects my score....haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My Parrot does the same thing...as well as my my Shadow 2 when I made it a SAO... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I still use mine for backup rounds and slugs sometimes. It is always in my pack-up and still has a place is huge round-count shotgun stages. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
