  1. 4.0gr of TG @ 1.125 is my go to load out of my shadow. 132-135pf I prefer it over heavier bullets. Good impulse. Flat shooter.
  2. Are you against Winchester primers? They are good for standard and magnum. I use them for my 357 and 10mm loads with no issue. I can't comment on the powder issue as we have tons of 2400 and Herco my way to satisfy my 357 and 44 needs.
  3. 3gr Clays with 180 plated did not make PF in any if my guns, just FYI. Had to go to 3.2 Canadian Clays or Australian Clays? I'll have to re chrono my Canadian stuff. Also what was your OAL?
  4. does that even make minor pf? Sounds too light to me. Im using 4.0 gr of n320 to make 129pf with a 180. 133pf. It was also my IDPA load. Clays is easier to get and cheaper than n320. Much softer than n320 also.
  5. For production... 180gr pills with 3.0gr of Clays. It can't get better than that.
  6. Best practices would be shell plate as the other owner suggested and making sure you're coming down with a full seating stroke and make all of those movements the same. My .02
  7. There's a few that hate them and have them "collecting dust". Anyone of you guys want to get rid of it? 9 or 40 Message me.
  8. Still $120 cheaper for those who can't afford a case feeder. They also make a mini bullet feeder that I thought was pretty interesting.
  9. Solo 1000 was discontinued because of inconsistencies in pressure spikes. To my understanding.
  10. I like the ones that aren't cracked and a primer fits in it. Those are my fave.
  11. Do they feel "soft" to you? I'm thinking Ramshot Competition is still softer. Also, have you tried Precision Delta jhp? I went to them after I couldn't find Zero, haven't needed to go back. They feel good to me. I haven't tried Ramshot yet. I've got 6# of N320 and 8# of titegroup to go through before I start with another powder. My IDPA load is absolutely "soft", I cut the N320 charge down to 4.3 grains. This shoots a 153 power factor and is real flat shooting. I'll look into the Precision Delta. I've got enough Zero to get through the Area 7 next month then I will move on if I can't find anymore of them. Awesome. I'm shooting Area 7 too. On Saturday. If you are on the same day, I can give you a few pills to run some tests with.

  13. Sponsored. So no coated lead for me. But thanks.
  14. This was 4.6gr of N320 @ 1.135 under at 180gr PD JHP I still think Ramshot Copmetition is softer.
  15. HS6 is gassy. Without a comp you should expect a muzzle rise. Open gun shooters love HS6 for that reason.
  16. HS-6 is better suited for comped guns. It likes the high pressure which is why you're seeing the unburnt powder happening. Have you thought of Titegroup?
  17. I'm curious here. I ordered a 650 and got it in 4 days from Dillon. I then ordered a 45 conversion kit and it's been longer than 2 weeks. I plan on getting a 2nd press, is the shipping any faster here?
  18. I'm at 4.6gr @ 1.180 out of a STI Edge for major PF. I haven't tried magnum primers though. Is this for competition or static stuff?
  19. I took it as he said it...safe to shoot, yes...whether or not it makes PF is to be determined with a chrono. You're right. I went by the title and saw PF. My mind went into competitor mode. Safe. Yes.
  20. I tried this once. Went from a Glock to a M&P. I went sub minor with a different barrel. YMMV.
  21. Can't beat 3.0gr of Clays under a 180gr pill.
  22. Bump it up. 4.6 has worked for me. Make both 4.6 and 4.7 for your barrel.
  23. For all the calibers I load, I use a Redding competition seating die. IMO, best in the game.
