  1. I had this same issue i ended up adding some depth to the detent so the plunger engaged it better ... It got rid of the issue for me
  2. This is how I do all my threading and anything else I need to do .. Make comps and other odds and ends ...
  3. I run one on my single stack rig with a comp tac holster .. In my opinion it's the best bracket for single stack makes it a lot easier on draws its just a all around great product would definitely recommend it
  4. Thanks for the input Guys the aimpoint is listed just going to stick with the cmores just a lot easier to find the dot for me ..plus the aimpoint almost give tunnel vision looking through it
  5. My very first open gun was a glock ... I didn't enjoy it at all ... Wasn't even sure I wanted to try open again until I shot a 2011 race gun .. All it took was about half a mag and I was in love don't ever see myself shooting anything else
  6. Just got into open recently .. After shooting one match I baught two open guns .. One has a cmore one has a aimpoint h1 ... Im wanting to switch to one optic for both guns ... So what do the experts think which is the better optic which one should I stick with ?? So far the cmore seems to be a lot easier for me to find and stay on the dot ... Should that be my deceiving factor

  8. Idaho customs is my go to shop they are a few miles from my house and George Kinslow is a very good gunsmith ... Chad heider is the owner of the company and he's always treated me good ... He's a dealer of Sti also seems to be able to get good prices on factory guns also ... They are a fairly new company but their gunsmith has been around for quite a while and is very popular in southern Idaho

  11. I just picked up a used open on the classifieds $1800 for the gun 3 140mm mags and one 170 mag plus brass and dies ... Just keep a eye out on the classifieds ... After one match with it I already have another open gun on the way it's a bit addicting !! Most fun u can have with ur pants on

  13. After having both Ive settled on a a Trojan 40 with 10mm Tripp mags so I can use same loads as I do in my limited gun ... Shooting 200gr bayous out of both and they run great
  14. I've had both but have Always found myself going back to my 2011 or 1911 just seems to work best for me ... Currently runs sti Trojan 40 in single stack and a gans sight tracker for limited ...

  16. I started with shooting a glock 34 for uspsa and 3 gun switched to a Sti about 6 months ago and it's been the best thing I've ever done don't waste ur money buy the Sti and u will be set for a long time to come
  17. I would go with a dvc limited I prefer the 2011 platform over anything the else just feels better for me
  18. I've always had really good luck with Tripp magazines in my 1911
  19. I run a tek lok with a dos blade tech on my els works great

  21. I run a swfa 1-6 hd ... It's been a great scope so far for 3 gun we shoot out to about 500 yards as well at our matches
  22. The only Kimber I had didn't run worth a crap but have shoot a few of my buddy's that run really good just seems hit or miss with them
  23. I really liked my 6" for 3 gun way accurate for those little targets that keep showing up
  24. I've always had Great luck with Tripp mags as well
  25. I've had a 18.9 and a 16.40 both ran good and were a good introduction to the double stack platform
