  1. Bayou Bullets - 10% off through Mon 6pm central time. Code - cm1130
  2. They just posted black Friday...5-15% off depending on how much you spend.
  3. FYII can get you a 30% discount code at 5.11 anytime. Just shoot me a PM. Or you can use my 10% off codes and buy 5.11 gear through optics planet for about the equivalent of 40% off as compared to buying direct from 5.11. Sent you a PM. Thanks.
  4. Where are you seeing 25% off on 5.11? Link?I got an email, but it's on their website home screen. Code: blkops
  5. I don't like that they're open either. Anyone had any problems with debris making its way in easier?
  6. Ok. I was confused on the CZC hammer. I wasn't sure if it was a factory offered part or a custom part. Thanks for the clarification.
  7. Does anyone know if its necessary to stake the extractor pin and how to do it, if so?
  8. I don't think I can shoot IDPA if I replace the hammer with an aftermarket one like CGW or CZC. Otherwise I would.
  9. I've modded my SP-01 slightly, and shot a match with it last weekend. I think I'm going to stick with it for now. The springs made a night and day difference in the DA. I may get a Shadow down the road.
  10. It was a promo code for Stoegers podcast. Big thanks to SNS. They really go out of their way to help. They ship super fast, too!
  11. I just read this on the CGW website: "TECH TIP: This pin can only be driven out from the top and removed from the underside of the slide. You must stake/peen the underside of the slide to keep the pin from backing out, just like the factory does. Loctite is not recommended." Is this necessary? How do you stake/peen the underside of the slide?
  12. Thanks for the help guys. I changed the mag springs to +10%. I also pulled the extractor and cleaned it. It was pretty gunked up. Do you guys put any oil or grease on the extractor? It seems to have taken care of the problem. I'll have to run it some more to be sure. I'm getting more and more comfortable taking this thing apart. I guess the pins, punches, and hammers scared me.
  13. Why is it only happening when loading? Is it just the extra energy with the slide cycling that forces it forward harder? When it hit the rear of the slide, it kinda snapped forward. To clean the extractor, do you just drive the pin out on the top of the slide? Does it go out from top to bottom, reverse, or does it matter?
  14. The brass is once fired Winchester. I'll measure the crimp when I get back home.
  15. Sadly, the answer to that is never. Can someone explain to me how the extractor could cause this?
  16. I was at a match today and at the third stage of the day it started giving me trouble at the load and make ready command. I'd insert the mag, rack the slide, and it would get hung up out of battery. A tap on the rear of the slide would send it home. It ran fine during the actual shooting. I was giving it a firm, fully to the rear stroke upon loading. It's done it to me several times now. I just replaced the recoil spring (11 lb), hammer spring, ext firing pin, rp fp spring, and rp fpb spring. I haven't polished anything. I was using the factory 19rd mags, with the original springs...I've got +10% but haven't put them in yet. It was recently cleaned...less than 200rds since cleaning. They are reloads with 115gr Berry RN, loaded to 1.10 OAL. Any ideas?
  17. Looks like SNS pulled the discount for pps10. I knew I should have ordered sooner.
  18. I'm looking in to purchasing some different bullets to reload. Just curious if a certain profile... RN, FP, conical, etc...is known to work best in CZ's?
  19. I don't see many duck hunting jackets. I do see a lot of fishing/photography style vests though

That's like cutting off your toes to get your shoes to fit. That made me laugh. IDescribe - every time you post, I pick up something that helps me understand reloading more clearly. I've read a lot of manuals, but none of them make it as clear as you do. Thanks for all the tips.
  21. Yeah...I thought I'd take a smaller piece of tape and stick it sticky side to sticky side on the outside piece, then put it on the pouch so the part over the cutout isn't sticky...if that makes any sense at all, lol.
  22. Haha. Thanks for the tips. As far as I can tell, it would be legal.
