  1. Thanks for this list. This helps with what I'm going to use and disregard.
  2. Thanks. Once they get here, I'm going to play around with the striker spring weights and the 13, 15, and 18lb recoil springs that I have.
  3. Did you change out the striker spring? I tried a 15lb spring on a Jager gen4 rod and had trouble getting it to pass the vertical test. I ordered a set of Wolff 4, 4.5 and 5 Lb striker springs to try out and see if I can get it to work...should be here soon. I wish someone made a magwell that would work without modification. I figure since it's legal you might as well. Thanks for showing me your set-up.
  4. Can you suggest one? I've read your book, but probably need to re-read it.
  5. The 1911s don't feel foreign to me, but I"m going to put this to the test.....I got a smoking deal on a ZEV KC G35 yesterday....You've got to ley us know how you like it...those look really sweet.
  6. Do you guys worry about or keep track of how many times your handgun brass has been reloaded?
  7. I tried visualizing at my last match. I think it helped quite a bit. I'm still having trouble seeing things in my head like they're real...I guess I don't have a good imagination.
  8. Jager - you guys are awesome. I still can't believe I got a guide rod and spring as a gift. I received it today. It is top notch quality! I can't wait to try it out. Once again, I really appreciate you're generosity.
  9. Whats the difference between the CR hi-torque and the deluxe hi-torque?
  10. Thank you so much. I appreciate all your support.
  11. I sent an email...fingers crossed. Thanks for the responses! Oh yeah...and I placed an order for the Gen4 23 guide rod and ismi spring.
  12. So the hardened steel guide rod is fine and the larger diameter "heavy" rod is questionable?
  13. They said the material is the same weight as stainless. The "hardened steel" is the same weight, the "heavy" rod is the same material, only thicker. So are the heavy (thicker diameter) rods legal since the material itself is the same weight as stainless, there's just more of it.
  14. That looks really sweet. Is that Costa's model?
  15. I was guessing just advertising fluff too...I'd hate to be breaking a rule about it though.
  16. Is their "heavy steel" heavier than stainless? http://jagerproducts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35&products_id=90 8.2.1.3.4 Recoil spring guide rods and dual spring recoil systems made of material that is no heavier than stainless steel.
  17. Thanks guys...I didn't realize that. You saved me some time and money.
  18. Thanks guys. I figured more experience would be a big part of it. I still get pretty nervous until the first stage is over, then I get calmed down. I'll work on the visualization some. Maybe I could practice at home without the pressure..visualize and then see if I can perform it exactly the same. I should be off weekends at work in January, so after that I could shoot 1 IDPA match and 2 USPSA matches a month. Right now I have to take vacation to shoot matches. That would help with the experience part. I appreciate the advice so far! Any more?

  21. Just curious... Are you guys talking about Clays or Universal Clays?
