  1. It's all a game and if you can, why not? The magwells that are allowed are pretty small, so no it's not a big advantage. People put shit on their guns that offer less advantage than a small magwell.
  2. I'm assuming this ruins the light? I'm looking into doing this. It isn't a big deal if it kills the light, but I thought if it didn't work out, at least I could resell it if it was salvageable.
  3. Well...Agency may have a slick website, but evidently their customer service sucks. I emailed them and heard nothing back.
  4. I have tfos on my carry/comp Glock. I am really pleased with them. The front sights pretty bright in daylight, plus night sights that you only notice at night. I've only used these and the stock sights, so I can't compare, but I like the tfos.
  5. What's his theory behind this? With shooting production I would guess 124g has more recoil then a 147g. Practice w harsh recoil then when you shoot a match you have a soft shooting gun? That's all I can think of.That's the only thing I could think of too...kinda like practice stuff that's harder than competition, then comps will seem easy. It goes against the grain of what almost everyone else says though.Price is pretty negligible between 124s and 147s...I can't imagine it would make much difference to him. Every time he's mentioned it, he says it's because they are cheaper. He does mention they are softer but it doesn't make a difference to him. June 11 2013 and Jan 4 2014 PPS are just 2 examples. Thanks for the info. I'm surprised.

  7. I just bought a pair of these also on amazon. Feel good so far, wearing them in a match on Sunday.Did you guys find wides (EE) in these or does the normal width fit you/run wide?I'm looking on Amazon and only see regular width.
  8. Thanks! Do you know how wide the magwell is? Also, what material is the plug portion of the magwell made out of?They say no weighted grip plugs, but most companies have metal plugs that the magwell then attaches to...so I'm confused about this. Can you email HQ for clarification? He assured me it was IDPA legal, it was very narrow side to side so I don't think you'd run against "box" issues either. It is a very discreet magwell but it improved my grip on the gun with his medium beavertail. As high speed as that Agency Arms website is, I bet they could give you more info than you want on it. I figured the site would too, but at least on my phone it has absolutely no description.https://agencyarms.us/product/gen-4-magwells/ So, I sent them an email.

  10. Replace the curved, serrated "target" trigger with the smooth faced trigger from the G17. They put that crappy trigger on all their compact and sub compact pistols to meet import regulations. The only difference is the trigger face. It did the same thing to me...hurt like hell. I replaced it and its so much better. It's like $16.You can also get an exacto knife or file and shave down the face of the trigger safety so its flush when depressed. As far as trigger pull, the 3.5lb connector and a little polishing works wonders.
  11. Can you suggest one? I've read your book, but probably need to re-read it.With Winning In Mind by Lanny Bassham. Covers visualization and every other aspect of the mental game .... Great. I just bought this book a couple weeks ago. I'm gonna start it when I finish "The Gun"... Only 20 pages or so left.

    Glock 34 MOS?

I think someone posted elsewhere that they would need to be listed as a variation and that NROI was just waiting on the official weights from Glock. I was thinking about buying one. There's like a 99% chance these will be accepted to the production list, right?
  13. My feet are about as wide as they are long and New Balance is the only company that makes athletic shoes I can wear. I feel your pain. I tried the speedcross, but my wide foot wouldn't work with them. I usually wear NB too, but shoot with the merrel moabs I wear for work. Merrel are tough and comfy, but not as nice looking as the speedcross. Those solomans are so badass, I really wish they would work for me. Why can't they make wides?!?
  14. Let us know how you like it. I'm looking at this one too.
  15. That's what I'm afraid nof...my memory sucks. Lol. Thanks for all the help. It's much appreciated. I'm going to keep practicing the advice everyone's given and hope it becomes more natural.
  16. The only divisions with pfs that low are revolver and bug. All others are 125 except CDP at 165.But I get what you're saying. Compete with what/how you carry and you are at a disadvantage.
  17. Powder coated. Baked on, very uniform and tough. Does it foul the barrel?
  18. Given this, does the fact the 9mm barrel is slightly smaller than the .40 affect accuracy in any way? Does the 9mm barrel "flop around" in the slide of a G35? The conversion barrel is thicker, so the OD is the same as stock so it locks up tight. I've had excellent reliability and accuracy with my Lone Wolf.
  19. It would be ESP in IDPA. I wish the production and SSP would let you use conversion barrels...then I could buy one gun and shoot SSP, ESP, Production, and limited with minimal changes and be competitive (major). With the new mos models, you could even dabble in open. This would give someone the option to buy one gun and see what you really like before dropping a lot of cash on multiple guns.
  20. BTW, they just sent out a rules clarrifier today. Brass inserts are illegal. Here's a sampling of the text: Since IDPA is a defensive scenario based sport, there are certain features or attachments that are not permitted. These are: 1. ... 2. Add-on weights, (but is not limited to) weighted magazines, tungsten guide rods, brass magazine wells, weighted grips, and weighted grip plugs. ... Zev offers what they call an IDPA ESP legal magwell. I guess the insert on it is plastic?
  21. I just got the Wolff springs and was able to get it to work great with a 15lb recoil spring and 4.5lb striker spring...exactly what I wanted. I also added a reduced power safety plunger spring while I was at it. I'm happy with the results. I just need to load up a bunch and shoot it a lot before the next match.
  22. One I didn't see on your list that I've picked up is Starline. It's supposed to be good, right?
  23. 8.2.2.2 ESP Permitted Features and Modifications (Inclusive list): 8.2.2.2.9 Replacement of barrel with one of factory configuration that uses a stock or non-stock cartridge. CCP is the same. SSP must be stock cartridge.
