  1. Statement after most of the shotgun shells fell out of the shell-holder when the commenter was shooting the stage - "Those shell-holders weren't made for the speed I run at" reply "What speed is that, dog slow?"
  2. Three of the Thermodynamics laws are - you can't win; you can't break even; and you can't quit.
  3. That is about the price here if you can find any at Walmart.
  4. Federal has 'Giant' trays, Fiocchi has the smallest I have seen. I have used over 100K of Winchester, no issues...
  5. This ... It is also true in rifle cases, the effect is lower per mil than in pistol cartridges as a mil is a much lower percent of volume in a rifle cartridge than a pistol cartridge. It can cause damage in rifles also though.
  6. I've seen a lot of guns like this that appear to work fine. However as stated above if it bothers you pass and get a different one.
  7. The 7/16 outer diameter should fit 9mm bullets inside it, the 1/2 outer diameter should fit 10mm bullets inside it, the 9/16 outer diameter should fit .45 cal bullets inside it. I do not know what the outer diameter of the Mini Mr. Bulletfeeder tubes are though. http://www.lnt.com/product/plumbing-parts/11442-504991/lees-rigid-plastic-tubing.html
  8. Sizing without an expander ball on bottleneck cases can cause issues. I recommend sizing without the decapping pin (the expander must still be installed), or not sizing at all.
  9. Have you cleaned the piston lately? Dirty pistons in other gas operated guns can cause short stroking.
  10. On the second question, yes. On the first question any pictures?
  11. The issue with this is if the case slips the extractor and goes into the chamber and another round is chambered after it. Boom. I have not seen this, have heard of it happening though.
  12. 45 ACP? Have seen many of these fired with no appartent issues, other calibers not sure I would chance it.
  13. SInce I don't see the rule posted- 10.2.7 A competitor who fails to shoot at any scoring target with at least one round will incur one procedural penalty per target, plus the applicable number of misses, except where the provisions of Rules 9.2.4.4 or 9.9.2 apply. So 2 FTE's and 4 Misses = 60 penalty points.
  14. Yes, you should at least be getting Alpha/Mike
  15. The DQ stands, the DQ would stand even if the stage was thrown out. 11.1.2 Access - Appeals may be submitted to arbitration in accordance with the following rules for any matter except where specifically denied by another rule. Appeals arising from a disqualification for a safety infraction will only be accepted to determine whether exceptional circumstances warrant reconsideration of the match disqualification. However, the commission of the infraction as described by the Range Official is not subject to challenge or appeal. Challenges to the construction or layout of the course, safety, or shooting conditions may not be submitted after the competitor attempts the course of fire. Should a course of fire be changed after the competitor completes the stage, he is entitled to the process under appeals providing that no DQ has occurred.
  16. My sentiments exactly. I would agree that this is not the best option.
  17. Some have done this and swear that it works fine. Your accuracy may suffer as the case is not indexed off of the case mouth. (Have see it done in glocks and 1911s'.)
  18. The applicable rules are: 5.7.7 In the event that a Range Officer terminates a course of fire due to a suspicion that a competitor has an unsafe handgun or unsafe ammunition (e.g. a “squib” load), the Range Officer will take whatever steps he deems necessary to return both the competitor and the range to a safe condition. The Range Officer will then inspect the handgun or ammunition and proceed as follows: 5.7.7.1 If the Range Officer finds evidence that confirms the suspected problem, the competitor will not be entitled to a reshoot, but will be ordered to rectify the problem. On the competitor’s score sheet, the time will be recorded up to the last shot fired, and the course of fire will be scored “as shot”, including all applicable misses and penalties. 5.7.7.2 If the Range Officer discovers that the suspected safety problem does not exist, the competitor will be required to reshoot the stage. So no re-shoot, score as shot. The firearm may be repaired or replaced with RM approval as below rules state: 5.1.6 Handguns must be serviceable and safe. Range Officers may demand examination of a competitor’s handgun or related equipment, at any time, to check they are functioning safely. If any such item is declared unserviceable or unsafe by a Range Officer, it must be withdrawn from the match until the item is repaired to the satisfaction of the Range Master. 5.1.7 Competitors must use the same handgun and type of sights for all courses of fire in a match. However, in the event that a competitor’s original handgun and/or sights become unserviceable or unsafe during a match, the competitor must, before using a substitute handgun and/or sights, seek permission from the Range Master who may approve the substitution provided he is satisfied: 5.1.7.1 The substitute handgun satisfies the requirements of the relevant Division. 5.1.7.2 In using the substitute handgun the competitor will not gain a competitive advantage. 5.1.7.3 The competitor’s replacement handgun and its appropriate ammunition must be chronographed per Rule 5.6, regardless of whether or not the original handgun was previously tested.
  19. CRTC Safety mags, I use them in ST_ and Para.
  20. Lee Quick Trim, hand turned trimmer with integral deburring and chamfer. Fits in the press, would need work to motorize, and to hook up a vacuum attachment.
  21. I agree with MarkCO, CHA-LEE, Chris, and Sarge, 'STOP' safety call, No DQ
  22. As Powder Finger said smooth/polish were they touch. Affects creep and reset feel.
