  1. Gouge on frame rails? Stainless gun? Definitely contact Kimber. Sounds a bit like galling, I would hope not. Pics would help diagnose it though.
  2. Interesting, gotta try that. You mean just the lense right, not the whole sight?
  3. If it is a factory option does that affect the rule for only open class, don't think it would but... I don't want to be RO at a match and have a competitor arguing about it.
  4. That looks cool. I like it. Also gotta ask about availability of the mount.
  5. I don't shoot lead either (did it one time about 9 years ago, what a pain). I clean the lens with a cleaner made for glasses. Forgot to say: Bausch & Lomb cleaner, which is nice because it was free, and the small bottle fits nicely in my range bag.
  6. I agree with Erik's comment about backward falling poppers. All the poppers with NS targets behind them that I have seen here are forward falling (fairly common here). I just consider it another test of the shooter, and you would be amazed how many good shooters still hit the NS.
  7. I'm sorry, perhaps I should have been more specific. I was wondering if anyone was using them, how they felt compared to other powders like the VV, and IMR 4576 and 7625, and if they thought they were dirty. My prefered bullet weight is 125, but I havn't worked up a load for any bullet weight yet. (I do know that I prefer more powder for a given velocity to make the comp more effective though.)
  8. Has anyone tried Hodgdon Lil Gun or Ramshot Enforcer in 38 super or Supercomp? I'm starting to work on loads for a new gun and was curious, couldn't find any references in searching the forums for anyone using these.

    Spy Ware

I agree, AVG is a good program. Spybot is "indispensible" and the highest rated anti-spyware program, it works very well. Have had to clean up many computers from spyware and I always use Spybot and then Adaware. (Note sometimes Adaware will call Spybot as spyware, make sure you have the latest version of each. Also note you should set up Spybot to run on startup when you first install it to catch any stealth programs.) No anti-spy program will catch all of the spyware though, but there is too much detail in that to put it in here.
  10. Don't see Doctor on Grams site, maybe I missed it. Never tried Doctor before, Thinking about tryin one on my new open gun. I used a 9x25 open gun with the C-More for several years though. Reliable, and never had a problem with brightness. Only had a problem with indexing when I didn't do my part...
  11. Probably the best thing you can do is try several frames S_I, Para with and without grips and Caspian. Some people don't like how a polymer frame feels when they shoot since it flexes more than a metal frame, most can't really feel that though. It also depends on where you want the weight. TGO prefers metal frames, and I have heard the Burner prefers metal. Springfield also has a metal frame, but you would have to buy .45 and convert it since they only make full guns in .45.
  12. I tried the static cling window tint and opening up the rear sight notch to get better light on both sides of the blade at tonight's match. I know you shouldn't change two things at the same time, but I gotta say I liked how it worked. (I have a problem with my eyes switching dominance like Carina, when shooting groups sometimes the target is in focus with the left eye, and the front sight in focus with the right eye. I've had this problem since I had RK on my eyes a few years ago, especially when it starts to get dark.)
  13. There is also an old story about a master piano player that was lock up for several years and could only visualize himself playing the piano and after he was released he played the piano as well as before. Can't find any references to it on line yet, it was a story I heard about 20 years ago in Piano class. (Which I still don't play )
  14. I can see the sights lift now, the way I learned to do it was in practice, deliberately focusing on my eye to ensure it was not blinking. It took a little bit of effort to do, and I remind myself periodically to watch this. Most people blink when the gun goes off and do not realize it until they focus on their eye while they are shooting a gun.
  15. What do you mean by this, especially the Black C-more part? I am curious what I am missing.
