Not to derail your vent, but Animal Control here will not respond to a wild animal in it's natural habitat (ie, a snake in someone's back yard). As I said before, leave him alone, he'll go away.

He gives other cops a bad name. Can you believe people call the cops for a snake in their yard? Leave the snake alone and he'll go away. That should have been the advice the cops gave them.

I am not saying my guys would not shoot the hostage-taker-dressed hostage with the gun (that would be a tough decision to get right in the microsecond they would have to consider it), but if they relaxed and let the real hostage taker take them out, I would cuss them up one side and down the other (in training, of course). I don't dispute that most teams don't train enough, but we are really talking about basic stuff here.

That would be a good thing to try in training. Hopefully it would not work, but if it does, it would be good training for them.

I like The Simpsons, but this is a terrible movie! I want my money back! When they make a tv show into a movie, the movie should somehow be more spectacular than when on tv. Not the case here. This was just a very long episode that should have been on tv. I am very disappointed.

It's about time! My neighbor had some gun parts delivered the other day and, before he could get home, the parts jumped out of the box and started killing people all on their own. In all seriousness, I've had very good luck using gunbroker.com. Unlike e-bay, you pay a reasonable percentage of the cost of what you sell. You pay NOTHING to list an item until it sells. I've sold and bought brass and guns with no problems.

They will be wearing SWAT gear that will protect (for the most part) their entire upper body. Any shots there will not even be felt by them. Shots to their legs are the only places where YOU can get any justice .

Knuckles are the worst. Everything else you can pad sufficently. If you get gloves thick enough to provide protection, you generally can't get your finger in the trigger guard. When you add in the fact that people shoot what they look at (ie: the gun), your knuckles take a beating. Like many others said: Anyone can take out an entire entry team if they are willing to die to do so. Most people are not, so act like most people would. Otherwise, it is useless as training.

To me, it all depends on the item I'm bidding on. If it is an item for which there are hundreds of listings, I will bid it and forget it. But if it is a unique item, I can't help but try to be there when the auction ends to see how I'm doing.
