  1. Pictures of barrel with ramp and no ramp
  2. You want some contact but not excessive. Too much contact and you get that "camming over" feel. You want a little cam over but not too much. If you have carbide dies and depending on the manufacturer, too much contact could crack the carbide insert. The majority of die manufacturers utilize a genourous shoulder to prevent cracked inserts so this shouldn't be a problem.
  3. A buddy of ours loads on a Hornady with a MBF and has no issues. He utilized the long rods that's mentioned in the article.
  4. I don't have one but I read the rifle bullet feeder is bit more difficult to get adjusted 100%. The pistol feeder seems easier to get adjusted properly.
  5. You'll tell yourself after you get one, "I should have gotten one sooner".

  7. Hmmm. Might not be possible after thinking about it. It would be considered importation under US federal law since it won't be leaving the US.
  8. I'm not familiar with bank safe deposit box rules but could you store your equipment in a safe deposit box located in the US and retrieve it when going to a match in the US? I'm sure it's expensive and time consuming. You could keep it with a friend that lives in the US but that's an awful lot of trust that's required.
  9. Start shooting USPSA with the gear you have now. Its easy and relatively cheap to start shooting in Single Stack division. See if you like the sport when you're the participant. Shooting Open isn't for every one. You may realize shooting with iron sights is more your cup of tea.
  10. The weight of the comp absorbs some of that energy when it goes thru the firing sequence.
  11. It's a balance you have to find yourself.
  12. Depending on how skilled you are, you can use a belt sander, a file, a grinder or a Dremel.
  13. Doesn't have to be a ring to score. 9.5.5 states a grease mark or crown is considered a hit. It has to be a hole of course...
  14. Is the match a Level 3 or higher IPSC match? If it is, email and ask the USPSA President to send a request on your behalf to the Regional Director of that match. He will send off an email on official letterhead showing you are a competitor from the USA wanting to shoot their match. If their RD okays your attendance, they will apply for gun permits (if required) on your behalf. Typically if its a Level 2 or lower they might not be too accommodating since applying for a single permit might not be feasible. When we shot WS in Greece and the Australasia match in New Zealand, the USPSA President at that time submitted our request. Once approved they asked that the proper documents be submitted by strict deadlines. Those were Level 3 and higher matches where there was a large contingent of foreign competitors coming into their country to shoot a match. In those instances, they were more than willing to accept our requests. There are other members here that have shot foreign matches more than I have. They will correct me and should be able to provide you more info.
  15. Sure. Let your Area director and USPSA president know how you feel.
  16. Not trying to justify for what's going on but the paper slot has a participation release and agreement you need to sign.
  17. Looks like old style. The newer ones are engraved with the SVI/Infinity logo.
  18. Your PF margin is a bit on the low side (if you are targeting 165). You should target a pf of 170 to give you a cushion if ambient conditions aren't ideal.
  19. shooting 9mm in Limited will put you at a score/points disadvantage (minor vs major). everyone in Production is scored the same (minor)
