  1. We've done it before for the Area 2 match but with the approval of the Match Director.
  2. Entire front strap of the gun has to be above the belt.
  3. Repairable but the cost to fix it might not be worth it.
  4. The USPSA box is slightly larger than the IPSC box but I don't think a 5.4" slide 1911 meets the criteria of "Only production type pistol" per the Special Conditions.
  5. We ordered bullets in a 55 gallon drum on a pallet.....
  6. 12/14 lbs mainspring sounds a bit light. Have you tried using the original mainspring and confirming if the primer wipe is still there?
  7. Sounds like a early unlocking situation. What recoil spring and main spring do you have installed in the gun?
  8. Seemed stable the last time I used it. Chronoed 172 with a ambient temp of 80 degF, 29 in on baro, humidity 30% (Norco, CA right befoe 2009 IPSC Nationals) Chronoed 170 with a ambient temp of 58 degF, 30 in on baro, humidity 75% (2009 IPSC Nationals. Circleville, OH) Unless your temperature swings are really big I don't think you'll have to worry.
  9. An extended length firing pin may help with the issue you're having but if you're using factory loads or minor pf hand loads, there might be other issues causing that primer "wipe". On a related note, confirm the opening of your firing pin hole. Springfield firing pin hole size might be different compared to other manufacturers.
  10. Sarge, You have 11000+ posts and you're asking this question now?
  11. Here's another question When gripping the gun and placing your finger on the trigger, is your finger bent slightly, excessively or just straight?
  12. What is considered a slow trigger speed to you?
  13. It's on the front page of the USPSA.org site in a PDF format.
  14. 771 are still in production, though the original leather wrapped pouches have been replaced with some sort of faux texture.
  15. What sort of match will you be shooting in the south?
  16. Wow. That's a big spread. Winchester load book shows 4.3 nets you about 935 fps with a 147 jhp. How about warming up the rounds by keeping them in the engine bay of your car?
  17. Do a search but I'm under the assumption WSF is a inverse temp sensitive powder. I don't think you'll have cycling issues but you may have power factor issues. What sort of temperature spread are you expecting?
  18. Do you mean one primer on top the other? Or a primer inside a completed round?
  19. Find someone that has a EGW mag gauge. The dawson SNL +1 basepad is "sometimes not legal" The standard dawson +1 should fit the gauge without issues.
