  1. WST is a pretty fast powder for 9mm. You can make minor PF, but be careful pushing much beyond that.
  2. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=214254 Titegroup is nearly identical to N320 in terms of charge weight and velocity. But it is a little snappier, dirtier, etc. Many recommend Ramshot comp, though in my experience it is closer N310 than N320.
  3. What is the age difference between the two jugs? I've heard/read that older N320 (with the old style label) was a bit hotter than the current stuff.
  4. 3.9-4.0 grains of TG under a RMR 124gr RN at 1.135 OAL is an excellent load for me. The owner of RMR is active over on the highroad forum, and he has been clear that they aren't made by xtreme. The RMR plating is much thicker. That said, I'm sure the load data is virtually the same.
  5. People are going to bitch because this is the "where is the powder" thread. But I'm bored so here's my answer: For 9mm: N320, titegroup, W231/HP38 For .45ACP: N310, WST, Ramshot Comp
  6. I have to say, I am a bit baffled by how many claim that Ramshot Comp can be loaded similarly to N320 and TG. I have used quite a bit of Comp in .45ACP, and in my chrono testing it is even faster than N310, let alone N320. I once tried some 115gr 9mm with Comp at charge weights I would typically use for N320 or TG, and the velocities came out significantly higher than I expected, enough so that I stopped and pulled the bullets because I didn't think it was safe. There seem to be so many people on here with good experiences and chrono data (like the post just above), it almost makes me wonder if I got a hotter than normal batch of comp or something.
  7. That'll be one heck of a boom if it goes up...
  8. Are you loading the flat point or round nose? I've never tried HP-38 for 147gr, but I think it would work fine. Assuming you're not running a super short OAL, I'd start at 3.3gr. This thread has some data: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=226728#entry2570862
  9. A while ago I was trying to work up a factory-ish load (I wouldn't call it HOT, but it's warm), and I settled on this as one that I really liked: RMR plated 230gr RN, N320 5.0gr, 1.230 OAL Out of a 5" 1911 it chrono'd: Shots: 10 Max : 808 Min : 779 ES : 29 Avg : 795 SD : 10 N320 won't be quite as soft as your Clays or WST in .45ACP. N310 would be more equivalent to those powders I think.
  10. At the gun show in southern CA today they were $190, if I remember correctly. I'm still just amazed to see so much of it.
  11. What is the barrel length on your PPQ? I got very similar numbers out of my CZ P09 (4.75"): Blue bullet 147 FP @ 1.125 N320 3.2gr Shots: 10 Max : 900 Min : 885 ES : 15 Avg : 893 SD : 4 I also tried N320 3.3gr, and I think I liked it best: Shots: 10 Max : 915 Min : 899 ES : 16 Avg : 907 SD : 5
  12. I ran my first batch through the FART yesterday, and the results were so pretty I had to take a pic: That is after 90 minutes, a capful of armor all wash n wax, and a dash of lemishine, no pins. So far I am very pleased.
  13. I got a sample back of blue bullet 147 FP recently, and they measure .355. I'm shooting them side by side with a sample pack of Acme 147 which measure .356, and I'm not a good enough shot to tell a difference.
  14. I'm trying both of those myself right now. So far, with my very unscientific off-hand-at-less-than-20-yards methods, I can't tell any difference at all between them, other than the blues leave a little residue on fingers, and the acme smell worse when shot indoors. Very happy with both.
  15. What OAL can you load the 147FP and the 125 to in your CZ? thanks for posting
  16. 1.1 touched rifling in my CZ P09. 1.08-9 plunked fine. 3.9gr of N320 made 129 PF.

    N320

Third generation got a shipment this morning. Maybe more to come...

    N320

It's been over a year now since any of the major online retailers have had quantity. Patiently waiting... Edit: sorry I guess I exaggerated. I got some in June last year. By haven't seen any since.
  20. My brass is walnut tumbled for no more than 1.5 hours (still plenty of carbon inside), and I use one spray of dillon lube in a zip lock bag with about 200 cases. It's enough lube to notice a difference on the press, but not so much that I have to tumble the loaded rounds to get it all off. The lube reduces the sticking a bit, but doesn't make it go away.
  21. Case sticking is definitely a downside to the MBF funnel. I've managed to get mine adjusted to the point where it's not so bad, but every once and a while it does stick pretty hard. I imagine that's why Dillon hasn't replicated it themselves. But it's still worth it to me to have the bullets seated so perfectly.
  22. +1 for Competitive Edge Dynamics, they are great, fast shipping.
  23. What are the consistency issues with blue bullets? I've seen this mentioned a couple times, but no specifics. I just picked up a sample pack of their 147gr FP, and I noticed the length of the bullets had a bit more variation than others I've tried. Is that it? So far they seem to shoot fine for me.
