  1. I'm stunned you were even able to get anyone on the phone at Dillon right now. But yes, it appears you are right, most if not all of the conversion kit parts are in stock if you want to buy them separately. Good lookin out.
  2. Received the alignment tool yesterday. Easy process to use it. I was skeptical because the screws holding down the base plate were not loose at all, everything seemed tight. But when I put it all back together, it works beautifully. Primers slide right in now. My press must have just slowly worked itself out of alignment over the years. Kudos to Dillon for some great customer service.
  3. I’ve been happy with True Blue for mid range loads. It meters very well, seems to burn clean, has plenty of kick. It’s also great for 9mm and .45.
  4. I had a hard time getting N320 to make decent velocity with 115gr (within my comfort zone). At max loads I started seeing increased ES/SD. Particularly with FMJ bullets. For 124gr, 135gr, and 147gr, N320 is awesome.
  5. It's definitely not a small primer brass issue. Advancing the shell plate just a little fixes it and the primers go in fine. I called Dillon today and they agreed it could be an alignment issue, and they are sending me the tool for free. Hopefully that fixes it. I'll report back.
  6. Hate to dig up an old thread, but this seems to be the same problem that recently started happening on my 550, after many years and thousands of rounds trouble free. I load mostly 9 and 45, and it only seems to be happening with 45. About half the time, when I start to push forward on the handle to seat a primer, I can feel it is hung up. Sometimes it suddenly snaps into place, and when I advance the shell plate, I can see a little half moon of brass that was sheared off the primer. Other times, it won't go at all, but if I use my finger to advance the shell plate ever so slightly, it lines up and the primer goes in perfectly. It has gotten to the point now where nudging the shell plate with my left hand as I seat the primer is just part of my flow, in order to make the primers seat smoothly. It's as if the shell plate and the primer cup/ram have become misaligned. The shell plate still seems properly aligned with the dies, it all goes up and down smoothly. Any ideas? edit, after a little more research, it looks like maybe need the alignment tool. I haven't taken anything apart, but maybe just wear and tear over the years?
  7. Anyone have a current coupon code for SNS? The 5% code I used in the past seems to have expired. thanks
  8. They're websites not codes: http://huntinobsession.com http://activejunky.com sorry should have clarified
  9. Well I went ahead and ordered. With the election getting close, better safe than sorry. Now of course they will go on sale tomorrow. Remember to use Huntinobsession or activejunky to get cash back.
  10. S&B small pistol are back on Cabela's website. Buy now, or wait for a sale, that is the question...

This thread has a lot of good info on BE86. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=760289
  13. Looks like RMR is now making jacketed 115gr in-house. $79 per thousand seems like a heck of a deal. I'm not too up on jacketed prices though... ? http://rmrbullets.com/shop/bullets-for-reloading/9mm-115-grain-rmr-fmj/
  14. You might try the Bayou 147 FP. I was able load them longer than the Acme in my CZ P09. But they were also a longer bullet so I don't think it provided much more case volume.
  15. It's good stuff. Quite a bit slower burning than bullseye though. I use it for warm/hot 9mm loads. This thread is the bible on be86: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=760289
  16. That last one at 879 MV is more in line with the uspsa/idpa goals, about 130PF. Personally I have found that 147gr Bullets often run best for me around 900fps.. But if you don't need a particular PF, run whatever feels best. A single digit SD is good by me any day. Oh, and now you're screwed, chronos are fun.
  17. Well, the Fiocchi small pistol are back in stock at powder valley. But the price has gone from $24 to $36
  18. That's pretty short for a 147gr. What is the length of those bullets?
  19. How hard are the Fiocchi primers? Wouldn't mind using them in 9Major now that the Ginex supply is dry I've heard/read they're on the soft side, but I only ever used them in stock sprung guns at minor PF.
  20. Have you tried Fiocchi? I've heard/read they're on the soft side. I went through a box of them a while ago with no issues, but never tried them in any light-spring guns.
  21. I've heard of shotshell reloaders using them for counting shot or something. Other than that, I got nothing. Every time I load up a bunch of primer tubes and dump the boxes in the recycle bin, I imagine the people at the plant going "holy crap somebody's building an arsenal, call the cops!" (I live in California).
  22. I placed a powdervalley order a few days ago, and added some Fiocchi small pistol for $24 per 1500. That's .016 each. Shows out of stock now, but definitely worth keeping an eye out for them. I've used them in the past with no issues at all.
  23. You might try it with the stuff they send with it. Yep I did, no difference. The primers aren't even making it past the hole in the clear tray. I'm gonna try more sanding this weekend. I figure it couldn't get any worse, the large pistol side is basically useless right now.
  24. I realize this thread is almost a year old, but figured I might get a better response here I just got a vibra prime, and right out of the box it is working perfectly with S&B small pistol. Gobbles them right up and I'm happy. Not so much with the large pistol. The primers enter the drop hole in the tray, flip sideways and just get stuck. No amount of shaking or tapping will get it unstuck. I used a small needle file to clean up the hole, but no improvement. I'm a little concerned about making the hole too big? Any suggestions? I'm just using the Dillon tubes with no plastic adapter.
