  1. XDM 5.25 Kimber Target ll S&W 627 Some days it's really hard to decide....some days I'll shoot 2
  2. I'd like to think so...I haven't had any problems knocking over steel if and when I hit it. You know sometimes it's the shooter and not the bullet. I just didn't like the recoil or accuracy of the lighter bullet. Let us know how things work out with the 160's
  3. Although Missouri Bullets makes a coated 147 gr bullet for the 9mm....I've had good results with their regular lead bullet. Consistent 5 shot groups under 1 inch at 15 yards. I can't complain on their prices or shipping time either....$210.00 for 3000 shipped with the 5% Blue Press discount and on my front porch within 3 to 4 days.
  4. 3.8 gr. of Power Pistol pushing a 147 gain lead bullet is the load I shoot competitively in my XDM 5.25. It makes a pf of 131.9. I started off with the recommended load of 4.1 gr. in the Lyman 4th addition manual and found it a bit HOT....994 fps and a pf 146.1. After testing loads from 3.5 gr to 3.9 gr. I've settled on the 3.8 gr of Power Pistol. All the loads shot very well....sub 1 inch 5 shot groups at 15 yards but the 3.5 gr load started to get dirty.
  5. I shot my first USPSA match about 2 years ago and had such an Adrenalin rush that it was hard to reload a magazine after the first stage. The last time I came even close to that kind of Adrenalin rush was my first jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Needless to say I'm HOOKED!!! Now I usually shoot 2 USPSA matches a month and a Steel Challenge match so I need a little time to reload. In the future I'd like to shoot an IDPA match just to see what it's all about. PS Gave up the skydiving after 5 jumps and a chute malfunction.
  6. With the two powders I have on hand I'm completely satisfied with the 147 grain Missouri Bullet in my XDM 5.25. Either 3.8 grains of Powder Pistol or 2.9 grains of Bulls Eye will shoot 5 shots into 3/4 inch at 15 yards. I know the pistol and bullet are capable of shooting better....but the shooter is the one in question.
  7. I've had excellent service and delivery time with Missouri Bullets and USPS.
  8. Check out https://www.dawsonprecision.com/ They have a good selection of front sights for your 929. I prefer their fiber optic. It shows up like a STOP SIGN when shooting a Steel Match or USPSA .
  9. AAA+ for Dillon and their customer service and no BS warranty. I inherited a 550 a couple years back that had some missing and broken parts. Within a few minutes on the phone a knowledgeable Dillon employee had taken care of everything. The broken parts were replaced at no charge even though I had not originally purchased the press. Thanks Dillon!!!
  10. I don't know about the other polymer guns but the XDM 5.25 I have is very accurate. 5 shot groups at 15 yards measure 3/4 inch and could be smaller if I could see better....hold the pistol better or move the target closer and have it stop moving when I pull the trigger.
  11. That's what I would call "COMMON SINCE GUN CONTROL" !!! MERRY CHRISTMAS
  12. I've use the ProChrono for over a year in various lighting conditions ...but have always used the sun shades just so I know I'm shooting through the same "window" every time. My experience is only with lead or jacketed bullets.
  13. My XDM 5.25 will shoot 5 shot 3/4 inch groups at 15 yards with 147 grain Missouri Bullets if there is no operator error.
  14. 147 grain and 130 pf works real good in my XDM....light recoil and very accurate.
  15. I've had very good luck with the stainless moon clips from Revolver Supply. George has different thickness moons to fit most if not all of your needs and good prices
  16. I won a XDM at a match this summer and have got it up and running with all the good stuff posted above to stay legal for Production. Thanks to all for confirming I put the right stuff on it. My only complaint is...it's so much fun to shoot my wheel gun has gotten jealous.
  17. You might try the 147 gr FP Missouri Bullet. I load it at 1.135 to 1.140 and have had very good luck with it in my XDM 5.25. A friend loads his a bit longer pushing the 1.150 mark but also has a Bar-Sto barrel in his XDM.
  18. ? I'm sorry.... I got decimal point in the wrong spot. I 'll go back and edit the post. You are correct....OAL should read 1.135. Thanks for pointing out my error.
  19. Just got my XDM 5.25 up and running to compete in USPSA production class. Started with some 125 gr and 147 gr. lead bullets a buddy had gotten from Missouri bullets. The gun instantly liked the 147 gr. better with the load I had started with....3.0 grains of Bullseye...Remington primer and OAL 1.135 and had a PF of 136. I backed the load off to 2.9 gr and had a PF of 132. That load shot a 5 shot group at 15 yds that measured 1.125 and 4 of the shots cut bullet holes that measured 0.625. I have since played with a couple a different powders....Clays and Powder Pistol and have had good results.....5 shot groups at or near 1.250 at 15 yrds. If I could hold the gun better I'm sure the groups would be smaller. I've got a couple more powders to experiment with....Titegroup and W231 to find that perfect load.....I think I've found the right bullet. My mailman (person) has removed me from their favorite address list because I keep ordering the bulk bullet package.
  20. Power Pistol Bulls Eye Clays Titegroup 231
