  1. I second the brass limited magwell I'd love to have another
  2. I don’t know why so many people get rid of the M&P Pro rear sight. It’s almost the same opening as the Sevigny sights that so many people love on there Glocks. I like them so much I put one on my standard M&P to match the pro. I do run Dawson front sights .115 wide and the proper height for my point of aim.
  3. I’m pretty sure the DPMS and Clark are both standard 2” tubes. I have no idea what the AP is.
  4. Thanks guys I’ve been thinking about putting my rifle on a diet so I’m trying to figure out the best ways to save some weight. This is the biggest saving I found so far; it would save 7oz vs the Nordic that I currently run.
  5. Thanks for the response. I was thinking they are made by the same company and relabeled by others but since I’ve never seen either one in person I’m just guessing unless I would order both to examine. The only difference I can see is that the Clark comes with a front sling stud installed. So since you used both tubes do you have any recommendations?
  6. Thanks for the replies guys but no one has answered the question, is there any difference between the two besides the name?
  7. From the descriptions I've read both the DPMS and the Clark are glued onto the barrel nut. I've never seen one besides on line but my impression is that they both are the same carbon fiber tubes and aluminum barrel nuts that are glued together. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=32439/avs%7CMake_3=AR-15zz1zzM4/avs%7CManufacturer_1=DPMS%20FIREARMS%20LLC/Product/AR-15-M16-CARBON-FIBER-FREE-FLOAT-TUBE http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=4998/Product/CLARK-CUSTOM-AR-15-CARBON-FIBER-HANDGUARD
  8. What is the difference between the DPMS carbon fiber free float tube and the Clark Custom carbon fiber free float tube? The only difference I can see is the Clark comes with a sling stud. Has anyone used both and can give a review? Thanks, Ryan
  9. Thanks for the heads up I was unaware of the storm lake oversized barrel (I only knew about the drop in). Unfortunately these are like the apex bar-sto barrels, hey look at these pictures we will have them sometime. O well back to dreaming.
  10. Sadly they only make drop in barrels for the M&P. I have had KKM barrels in several 1911s and they are great but a drop in barrel in nothing but a crap shoot it might be better then factory it might not. Remember the biggest part of a good shooting barrel is fit. Gunsmith barrels can be fit perfectly to your gun, drop in barrels???????
  11. There are no gunsmith fit barrels for the M&P at this point just drop ins. I’ve talked to several companies that say they are working on them but after over a year of hearing “soon” I’ve lost hope.
  12. I shot lots of frontier bullets when I could get them for $35 per k. Now they are so close to Montana gold that I will not buy them anymore (unless I find a really good deal). There is nothing wrong with them they are a plated bullet just like Berrys, Rainier, or Speer. If you are looking for a good economical bullet I would tell you to buy Bayou bullets. They are more accurate then the frontiers were for me, they are cheaper, and it takes less powder to make power factor. I always thought the plated bullets could be great but the companies that make them tend to put price far ahead of quality (should be sized like lead .001 over bore size) and they are so close in price to good jacketed bullets that I’m amazed they are still in business.
  13. don't feel bad I shot better in the afternoon this year well 2 seconds faster I got 11th stock and 26 open but I won the open rimfire rifle side match (at least I won something)

  14. Does anyone know how this 22lr side match works? Is it two man teams one with a rifle and one pistol or can they both shoot the same guns (both rifles or both pistols)? Is it only a team shoot or can it be shot individually?
  15. Thanks Benny I thought that would be the case.
  16. Couple questions for the shotgun experts. Does the Versa Max need to get the bolt lightened like the benelli or is it ready to go from the factory? Also does the hammer follow the bolt down if you outrun the gun like it does on the benelli? I’ve read that the trigger groups and stocks are interchangeable, is that true. Thanks, Ryan
  17. It will be approved by the first of March they just forgot to tell us what year
  18. now thats a good link thanks Triggerbender
  19. I'm running a nordic tube with a DPMS barrel I cut down to 18" and turned down to .750 under the handguard I'm running a standard A2 stock now
  20. I’m looking to cut some weight off my AR does anyone know what the weight difference is between a standard A2 stock and the Ace skeleton stock. Any other stock suggestions and weights would be appreciated. Thanks, Ryan
