  1. "Whoa" is a range command in CA? Shoulda told him "Dude I just wanna run this tasty stage. You're harshin' my buzz."
  2. I have 2 pair of 5.11's. One, the Academy Shorts, have a shorter inseam. I like them for hot summer shooting. I can hang a hand towel off the carabiner strap.
  3. Thanks for the translation! Reminded my of the scene in Airplane. "Excuse me, but I speak Jive."
  4. Eric, are your 32rders. Metalform or ASC? My Metalform 32s have really long springs. I heard the ASC are kinda short. TF has a longer spring they sell for those that want it.
  5. On my Colt lower, I found the Botach ambi works great. It looks like the Norgon.
  6. Agreed. Just hate putting a $40 base on a $12 mag. And I won't pay MBX prices. Every STI mag I've put together in any caliber has worked. I must be the luckiest guy here regarding STI mags.
  7. Thanks for checking on that, Eric. I have a TF +10 on a 32rd. Metalform, but am looking for a more economical solution for just a couple more rounds.
  8. Are their any pistol extended base pads that we know will fit on a Metalform mag? All the Glock pads I've tried are too big. I just want to add a couple rounds to avoid reloads on a long field course. Anyone tried M&P Arredondo base pads?
  9. There's no cut out on the left side on a billet Glock lower for a mag release. One of the downsides of that lower for us leftys.
  10. I don't run. I've torn both Achilles' tendons, & have been fighting Plantar fasciitis forever. I wear 11.5 4E. The best shoe that comes the closest to Saloman Speedcross that I can wear all day is the New Balance MT910V2. V3 is out now, I haven't tried them yet. They have a tall generous toe box, & lots of heel cushioning. The soles are rubber trapaziods like the Speedcross, but of a softer compound.
  11. I want the same thing. The Taylor Freelance is nice, but +10 is overkill. I want a +5/6 for around $20.
  12. I'm guessing, but I think he's talking about the muzzle being "jumpy" or how it swings, or tracks, or settles down on long targets, not the bullets stabilizing. I think this is a practice & training issue.
  13. How many stages? How many rounds? Longest distance? How much was entry? Did they use pizza box targets? What divisions did they recognize? How many shooters were there? I'm only 1/2 hour away, but never heard word of it. What did they do to publish it?
  14. I was on Clinton Co. Farmers and Sportsmans website looking for their USPSA schedule, and came across a page saying they held the Ohio 3gun Championship last weekend. Anyone shoot it? Feedback?
  15. The SIII has the same sight radius as the Ltd., though it is a straight barrel instead of bull. The basepads on the Ltd. don't give much increase over stock, so they will be replaced with Henning or TF anyhow. If you intend on replacing the trigger with a Henning straight, that cost is a wash too. The SIII is blued not chromed. If you get the SIII, you are giving up the finish, bull barrel, & mag well, extra springs & sight. Depending how well you can buy the Ltd., & what those things are worth to you, it might be worth it to pay the extra $200 for the Ltd..
  16. The 6moa Viper has been out. The 6moa Venom is due this spring sometime.
  17. Faulting is touching outside, AND firing a shot.
  18. Got an email that Midway has Vortex Viper red dots w/6moa dot for $229 with a free $50 gift card. Thought someone might want to know.
  19. Worse was cowboy action. Velocities are so low, lead doesn't flatten on steel, bounces back.
  20. You could just leave it as is, put the safety on at make ready, & shoot SA. In Ltd. of course.
  21. On any of these builds, are you able to use a standard mag catch? On my Colt style, I'm using a RRA mag block also. A standard mag catch didn't protrude enough into the magwell to lock in a mag. I had to switch to the RRA 9mm catch. I'd really like to use a Troy ambi mag catch. Not possible on a Glock style, so a dedicated Colt style appears the only way to do it.
  22. I did a combo of heating/bending the DOH hanger & adding rubber grommets to kick the muzzle out. Worked OK, but prefer the aandabooks alum. hanger.
  23. I have a stock plunger spring I will try swapping. It has a BOLO now, but the original disco was in the box when I got it. The trigger bar has been modified where the disco sits on it, and It flat out won't work now. I'm switching divisions for the season, and am seriously thinking of boxing it up and sending it to PD for an overhaul. Too nice a gun to run this way.
  24. Viper has bigger lens, bottom battery mount. Venom has smaller window, top mount battery, 6MOA is coming. There is the Razor too, never played with it. Shield has a new sight coming, RMS. Pics appear to have a fairly big window.
