  1. Good show. We enjoy it. Adorable battle hardened Beth for Noah?! Too bad.
  2. This has been Alliant's position for many years. They engineered ClayDot (CD) to mimic (take back market share from) Hodgdon Clays (HC), which was heavily favored by reloaders in the shotgun sports. Alliant has seen no need to spend $$ to expand the use of CD with supply already being gobbled up. With no "official" testing in metallic directly from Alliant themselves, I used Hodgdon's data and started LOWER and worked up to viable pistol loads. I stated in an earlier post on this thread that "the performance of CD was not a perfect match to HC, but darn close." My suggestion is to start 10% lower than HC verified/tested data and work it up.
  3. Hello, FowlShot. Welcome back! Honored to have you with us. Welcome to the forum.
  4. The Nissan/Infiniti QX50 does look nice, but I would not count out the RDX. Especially if you buy and she drives it for awhile. German??? The 2015 X6 is available. 4.4L twin turbo 450hp...sounds like fun! Good luck. Shopping for cars is enjoyable. Buying cars is not.
  5. She just may miss driving the BMW. Probably won't miss the error codes, but may actually miss driving it. Our Acura has been very reliable and the fun factor is still available when desired. Honda & Toyota both make good vehicles, but I like Honda better. Which models are you contemplating?
  6. I've shot my 682 Gold E Skeet for at least a decade now, and I can highly recommend them. The Gold E barrels are definitely lighter than the previous 682 barrels...more lively. If looking for a nice used gun, I would recommend trying a 30" set on the 682 and a 32" on the Gold E, but it is all about feel. Those ASE's are very nice, and getting hard to find.

    Hi

    Hello, Rob. Welcome!
  8. Welcome to the forum, Rick! Enjoy your first match.
  9. Hello, Skeeljc. Welcome to the forum!
  10. Sounds like you all really enjoyed it. Great band that is also a great live band too. Real talent...no studio trickery.
  11. CCI embraced the SPP 45acp early. No best method unfortunately, looking at every case is the only way. Someone with ingenuity will figure something out. Sorting SPP from LPP is a PITA!

    Welcome to the forum!
  13. Welcome to the forums, Ftc! Get out to watch/help at a match. Get the lay of the land and ask questions. Then...go for it.
  14. I've always enjoyed handgunning but, skeet and sporting have been my primary shooting sport pursuits for decades. I get 4-10 rounds in, per week. I added trap leagues in to the mix several years ago, too. I still prefer skeet and sporting clays, but the challenge of trap has been enjoyable.
  15. Disco.... or perhaps a damaged/bent/loose ejector?
  16. Thanks for the load info and recommendations guys. I am going to try some e3, if I ever see any again. Hard to locate these days. Basketball analogy, Steve. You know...scores every time/hard to beat.
  17. Yup. Bevel, smooth & POLISH the front edge of the disco just below the square sear pin hole...and I bet this resolves. Take a look at the trigger bow - disco interface while you are at it. Polish it up also, if needed.
  18. Great product & convenient to use. Like Braxton mentioned, pull slide stop...remove slide (intact)...depress guide rod...engage DP catch. You will thank yourself every time you disassemble. The only negative is the slim chance of the retention pin working loose or spring loaded arm becomes damaged and locks up the gun.
  19. Welcome to the forum, Judgekustoms! Good luck and enjoy it. I like the DP front sights too..and you can easily change out the fibers when they get dull or you just want a different contrast color.
  20. Welcome to the forum, JASracer!
  21. Now that is an interesting idea to help migrate the powder down. Somebody is thinking. Thanks, Joe.
  22. Alliant's Clay Dot is an excellent stand in for Hodgdon Clays. I switched over to CD after (another) shortage of HC about 7 or 8 years ago. The performance of CD is not a perfect match to HC, but it is darn close. Unfortunately, many of the widely used faster shotgun/pistol are still difficult to always find when you want.
