  1. My experiences using multiple manuf Hi-Tek coated v. lubed lead has been mixed, but tilted towards slightly faster for coated. I firmly believe results are based as much on bullet design, bullet sizing, & test barrel attributes as anything else, though.
  2. On a big honkin semi circular gear hook that holds 2 full rigs, plus sporting clays/trap belts & shell pouches all tangled together. You know....a cluster _____.
  3. The old Canadian manuf. mag tubes have a touch more length. There are some out there mostly used or some stockpiled, but you need to hunt them down.
  4. Too much of a PITA. Then there is the very real possibility of destroying a mag body or two. Trade with somebody that wants the 40's. Way easier.
  5. Exact fit loading trays, yes. Exact fit ammo boxes specifically for 40? Have not come across them, yet. MTM 45/40/10's work alright for me. Try a piece of cardboard between the ammo and the load label, inside the lid.
  6. Mobil 1 works nicely... even in the cold. Just use a little less during real cold weather. 0-40 for me, mainly because that is what the cars use.
  7. For those of us with RIA double stack 40's..... The ACT P16 40 magazines that Greg Cote offers are also stock equivalent for RIA HC (double stack) 40S&W. Great pricing too. They lock in and function well and have enough body length to use bases on magwell equipped guns. Unlike the Mec Gar P16 mags, which were too short to use bases and would barely (if at all) lock with factory magwells installed.
  8. The ACT mags work well and have enough length to use bases. Greg Cote has a bunch of these in stock now at a reasonable price. The MEC GAR bodies are justa hair too short to use with magwell/bases.
  9. Welcome to the forum! Enjoy the new Dillon.
  10. Empty draw, sight picture on first target, insert mag, press check, safety on, tap mag, holster.

    Midwest weather

Man do I concur on that, Corey! Sick of rain. And mosquitos! I need to mow the lawn 2x a week lately. Oh wait..I can't because it's raining...again.
  12. I have bright red FO front only on several guns and like it for most shooting. I like orange too. BUT, if light conditions get marginal... green works better for me.
  13. Welcome to the forum, Tyler! Yup, you could do worse than Lazer as a nickname. Nice to have you with us. Good luck in your local matches this year.
  14. Things change. What may have been the cat's meow is now out in favor of something else. We get old...vision changes. Fight it all the way! Use whatever works, but never stop considering options.
  15. Not really a fan of soccer, but I was very pleased for the USA, the players & fans. Congratulations ladies!
  16. Shot 100+ of the 230gr 45acp offering. Good quality with consistent sizing, weights & coating. No groove. The bright red is kinda fun and you can certainly find a cleared round easily. Good groups out of several different pistols. Pleased. A little more $ per K, though. I will try offerings in 40 & 9 now.
  17. I have worn two different pair of custom EAR plugs for the last 4 years multiple times every week. They work great. Keep your ears reasonably clean and clear of wax and wash the plugs at least every few times you use them to avoid bacterial infections. Ask me how I know.
  18. You can call yourself the Single Action Kid or something else snappy, if you decide on option A. ?
  19. . If your bullet measurements are correct...you have the wrong bullets. Buy a Shiloh rifle and a cowboy outfit. Or....the less amusing option is to trade them to somebody that already has the aforementioned stuff.
  20. On TV, it was so cool to hear how loud everyone was cheering when American Pharoah won it. What an amazing deal for you to be there in person for such a rare historical event!
  21. Welcome to the forum, Udo! What type of matches do you have available to you in Germany?
  22. It may just show up weeks from now, Steve. You just never know. It might be holding open a door to a sort facility and can't be spared.
